I hope you all are enjoying the story so far. It is very long, I apologize.

“Now, the way to speak spells is all down to the wording. Every spell has a latin word to it. So in this class, you will be learning Latin and English. Latin is very hard, but it is necessary. For today’s lesson, please open your books to page four and read the first lesson. Once you are done, please close your books.” Professor Leon stated as the task was written on the board without anyone writing it.
After a few minutes, we left and headed back down the staircase and towards the main hall where I had come in this morning.
“I completely forgot we have to get your supplies. Let’s take you to Supply and grab everything you’ll need. Once you figure out your class, you’ll have to come back and get more items.”
We stopped at an opened door. Inside, there were two students dressed in the school attire. They were talking to each other, arguing about something to do with their physical training.
“Excuse me? Troy and Ezekiel?” Blaze entered the room as the two boys stood up and stared, wide eyed, at the both of us.
“Oh, hello, Blaze,” one of the males stuttered out.
“Ezekiel, relax. I’m here so the new student can get all of his items. Nova White.”
The two boys nodded before one, I think Troy, went through a closed door. As he opened the door, I could see stacks of all kinds of items, books, uniforms, and stuff that I have no idea what they are.
“Nova? What size are you?” Ezekiel asked.
I shrugged. “I am not sure.”
“That’s okay. You can try on the uniform in the back. The suit is mainly the important thing. Most guys tend to wear just shorts and leave the muscle tank part as their shirt, but you do have the option for other top articles. The only requirement is a pair of bottoms which can be shorts, pants, or… well, skirts but that’s mainly for females.”
I nodded as Troy came back into the room, his hands full of items. He placed the stuff onto a table before heading back into the backroom.
“So this is your backpack. Just a simple bag, most students put a charm on it so it can carry a lot of items or it won’t feel heavy. But that’s allowed for students third year or above. This is a few notebooks and pens and pencils. If you ever need more, you can always come back and ask for more. There is no limit really. We also have binders and folders if you’d like one of those. This is a band. It’ll get wrapped around your arm. Once you get your class or type, it’ll be written on this to let everyone know. It’s to help during physical training or spellcasting class.”
Troy came back into the room with a few sizes of the uniform. “I think you’ll be a small size, but I grabbed a medium as well. You can go to the bathroom just next door and try them on. I also grabbed you a small and medium in shorts.”
I grabbed the articles before heading to the bathroom. The bathroom was huge and very clean. The tiles were black and white and the stalls had black doors. It was very strange to be in a clean bathroom in a school as large as this one.
I went into one of the stalls and tried on the small sized suit. It was very tight but not too small. I could easily move in it and I could tell the material was some form of dri-fit. It makes sense if this was what is worn during physical training. I slipped on the shorts and couldn’t help laughing at how long they looked on me. I left them on as I went back into the supply room.
“A small suit fit, but can I get a small pair of female shorts? These are too long for me.” I asked Troy as I tugged at the shorts. I felt so disproportionate wearing these shorts.
“Oh, yeah, I didn’t think about the length of the shorts. I’ll be right back. Did you want a shirt or anything?”
I nodded. “The crop top.”
All three males froze as they stared at me.
“The crop top?” Troy asked, dumbfounded.
“Nova, the girls tend to wear the crop top.” Blaze informed me.
I glanced up at him. “Is there a rule where I can’t?”
Blaze looked at the other two males before they all shook their heads.
“I’ll grab the shorts and the crop top.” Troy shook his head as he entered the backroom.
“Alright, well, these are the books for each of your classes. You’ll need them for when you go to the classes. And here is your credit card.” Ezekiel placed a white holographic card on top of the stack of eight textbooks.
Troy came back out with four pairs of the suit and five pairs of the shorts and crop top. I grabbed one of the tops and shorts before heading to the bathroom. I slipped on the two articles, the length of the shorts stopped mid thigh for me and the crop top was basically a shirt for me - unless I lifted my arms up. I entered the supply room again.
“Thank you.” I handed the other pair of shorts to Troy who nodded.
“Well, that’s everything for now. If you need anything, feel free to come back.” Ezekiel smiled as he nodded once.
Blaze had placed some of my items in the backpack and we held everything else.
“Let’s put these back in the room then we can head to Spellcasting.”
I nodded as we quietly walked back towards our dorm.

“This is one of the gyms on campus. This one is used for spellcasting practice. There is one for physical training with or without magic and one for sports, like a normal high school gym.” Blaze explained as we entered a very spacious room.
The room was the size of a football field and had a very high ceiling, like at least 300 feet or more. The floor and walls were a soft foam. In the middle of the gym was a class of about thirty students and two professors.
“Today, we will be practicing basic taking and expelling from your opponent’s hand.” One of the professors, a tall, thin woman with knee length blonde hair spoke. Her voice seemed to carry throughout the entire gym.
“That’s Professor Lynda Victors and the short, older lady is Professor Caime Johnson. Let’s go introduce you to them.” Blaze padded his way towards the crowd. “Professors!”
The two women turned around. Professor Victors looked annoyed before her features relaxed at the sight of Blaze. Professor Johnson’s face full of wrinkles brightened and stretched as a huge smile appeared.
“Mr. Royal. How nice of you to join the freshman for their first spellcasting class. What brings you by?” Professor Victors’ voice reminded me of the stretchiness of taffy. Her words were elongated and drawn out.
Blaze smiled and pulled me in front of him, his hands still grasping my upper arms gently. “New student, Professor. This is Nova White. I’m showing him around today.”
Professor Johnson walked closer to me, eyeing me up and down like I was an aisle at a grocery store. “Seems tiny for a boy.” Her voice was aged just as much as her face.
“Pay her no mind, Mr. White. She’s an old crone.” Professor Victors smiled as she patted the older woman’s shoulder. “Would you like to stay and watch for a moment?”
“Yes, we will stay out of the way.” Blaze spoke calmly before taking my hand and leading almost back to the doors we came in.
Once he stopped, he sat down on the foam floor. I stared at him for a moment before sitting beside him, facing the crowd of students who were now paired up in twos. One student in every pair was holding a black water bottle.
“Okay. To begin, we will start with forcing the object in your opponent’s hand to fly away. It will most likely only go a few feet behind them, but once you get better at the spell, it can make an object go far distances. Now, the word to say is “Perdet”. Take a deep breath and then say the word.” Professor Victors was smiling as she watched the students.
One by one the students’ voices began to grow louder as they repeated ‘perdet’. It seemed nothing was happening.
“It’s not working. A bit strange. Does anyone know why?” Professor Johnson was smiling as she walked between the students.
“Because we have to have a holder to do magic.” One male student stated, a little annoyed.
“That is correct. Now, who here knows whether they are a holder or a wielder?” Professor Johnson glanced around as half the students raised their hands. “The rest of you will be tested at the end of the week, correct?” The other half nodded.
“Let’s go. We can stop and meet the rest of your professors and then grab lunch.” Blaze stood up and walked out of the gym. I followed closely behind, wondering what food there would be for lunch. It would be nice to have something other than instant ramen and fast food.
