I see explosions getting set off in a building up high.

I ran to the building looking up. My adrenaline was too high I didn't care about my back pain. My heart sank as I saw Human Kite flying shooting his lasers at another who was flying shooting fire toward him.

They both went in building through a broken window up high.

I'm coming for you Human kite.

I ran to the building running as fast as I could up the stairs until I smell something burning.

I stopped at a door seeing black smoke coming out from the bottom. I slowly door panting out of breath with all the stairs and froze when I saw the whole area on fire.

I see Human Kite shoot his lasers while the other shields with fire. They both walk into each other setting their abilities at their max then a big explosion occurred. As they were both thrown back groaning.

I hear the whole place about to collapse.

My heart sank I put my hands out for balance feeling the place shaking.

Fuck....we need to get out now!

I see them both get up quickly running at each other still fighting not focusing on their surroundings.

I see piecing falling from the ceiling and hear from above the build is going to go at any second now.

They are blinded by the combat they don't understand what's happening...

I sprint fast through the flames and jump over the desks to get to Human Kite at any cost.

I see the villain look around he stopped when he laid eyes on me.

"Looky here.." he said with a crocked smile.

I froze seeing him shoot a huge source of fire at me.

My heart sank so hard, I quickly jumped off the desk and took cover hiding.

"Ohhh you didnt like that huh? Maybe next time I'll burn her." I hear him snicker loudly.

"Oh wow.. Your so pissed you can't even speak... Ohhh wait... Don't tell me this is that journalist... Ohhh she's your weakness huh... Ohhh well in that case."

"Jess Run!!!"

My heart was throbbing as I see the guy approached me sliding his shoes on the ground with fire all over his body. He looked down at me with his hands out forming fire in the palm of his hands.

I trembled in fear looking up at him. I was completely frozen knowing he would get me if I ran away. He laughed like a maniac as he was ready to attack. Suddenly he got shot by a laser beam. He growled looking at Human Kite.

He was distracted.

I see more things falling all around us.

I feel the ground shake even more.

I look over and see Human Kyle right in front of a broken window.

At that moment I hear the building collapsing from above.

I grit my teeth

Come on, come on, Jess run, run as fast as you can get him out of here!!!

I quickly jumping over the desk running full speed right into Human Kite I grabbed his arms pushed him out the window and dove off the building behind him..

The second we did the building exploded in fire and collapsed to the ground.

We were close too the ground I closed my eyes feeling my heart going incredibly fast.

I felt a tight embrace around my body then a gust of wind rush to me. I open my eyes seeing we were landing on the ground slowly. When we landed I coughed out from the smoke. He let me go immediately letting me recover.

"Human kite I'm sorry I..."

I got cut off by him hugging me so tight.

My eyes widen.

"Yet again you saved me."

I hugged back closing my eyes.

"Just... Trying to help is all."

He pulled away.

"We are lucky to have you on the team."

I frowned looking at him.

"Human kite ... I... I..Killed four guys..." I choked up.

He looked at me completely dumbfounded.

Four?

I nodded.

"I can't.... Knock them out like you guys or put them in handcuffs. It was that or they would have killed me or someone else."

"Are you okay?"

I crossed my arms looking down.

"No I....I'm a killer..I'm just like them.... A villain."

"Not in my eyes."

I look up at him in disbelief.

"I see a young journalist, who has been curious about the heroes ever since they showed up in this town.. It's been several months since and you are fearless... You think of others before yourself... You see danger and you run to it. I see a true hero... You don't need powers to become a hero... Today... You really proved yourself... We are all thankful to have you on our team."

I gave a little smile.

"Thank you Human Kite.."

"You can call me Kyle."

My eyes widen as my heart fluttered.

"Just... Don't let anyone hear you call me that... Okay?"

I slowly nodded feeling my face heat up slowly.

"Yeah.. Of course..."

Kyle...I like that name..
