2 years later

Everything seemed so normal... The town was getting back to the way it once was.

Everything was the way it once was but not in my world.

I avoided everyone in the group. I would hide and I didn't do anything heroic since that day. I didn't think I was hero, how could I be a hero when I couldn't save the one person I loved. I was so confused and lost since I lost her.

It doesn't add up... What happened.. But... She's dead.. And I can't fix that..I had a plan when we were done with all of this.. I would confess to her and... we could actually be together but... this is the ending I get? The hero?... Not a chance.. If that's the reward I get for saving the town I don't want to be a part of it.

I was in my house when I heard a knock at my door.

I ignored it knowing it had to have been Stan.

I hear the knock get louder.

I look at the door angry.

I open the door quickly getting extremely irritated. The second I did my whole body froze.

I see a girl panicking but she looked very similar to Jess.

"Please... Help me.." she cried.

"Someone is after me.. He's going to kill me." She said crying in her hands.

I tensed up.

Her voice... Her appearance. Is this... Jess?

"Please..I'm begging you.." she cried.

I snapped out of my train of thought.

"Uhh g-get inside..."

She looked up at me shocked.

I felt my heart flutter seeing the familiar blue eyes.

She quickly ran inside.

I closed the door locking it from behind.

I hear her crying. I look over and see her sitting on my couch.

"Thank you so much.."

I slowly walk up and sit down not knowing what to say or do.

Is this really her..it can't be....

"I-It's.. Okay.."

I see her look up at me a little too close.

She looked up in my eyes.

She looked down at my lips then back in my eyes. I felt my face heat up looking deep in her eyes.

This is major deva vu of the day she kissed me..

I see her lean in.

I don't know why but I said it.

"Jess.."

Her lips gaped looking deep in my eyes.

I felt myself getting taken over by her eyes. I felt myself being sucked into her eyes then her lips.

I see her lean in again. I felt my stomach butterfly closing her eyes waiting but tensed when I felt something wet dripping on my face.

My eyes shot open and I swear my heart leaped out of my chest when I saw the same face I never wanted to see again.

Before I have time to react I was pinned to the couch.

My eyes widen as I see her on top of me pinning my wrists down digging her nails in my skin.

My mouth fell open when I see her smile.

"Hi Kyle. Oh how I missed you."

Fuck, fuck, fuck!! What's happening?! Am I losing my fucking mind?!

I grit my teeth looking up at her.

"Jess.. I loved you... I lost you...and now...I think I'm going insane!!!!.."

I feel her squeeze my wrists holding them together with one hand

I see her get close to my face.

"Try shooting me again. She will die.. Let this happen and she won't die."

My whole body tensed with the words.

I look up and see her eyes red with the crocked smile.

I grit my teeth hard.

"Who are you?!"

She laughed out loud.

"I'm known as the Possessor.. I'm afraid your friend here has been under my control for the longest time. Man you should have really stayed with her that night you wouldn't even remember the next day what a shame it would be really great to possess powers of yours. Seems today is my lucky day."

I tensed as she went down on me with her tongue out with black blood oozing out.

I grit my teeth harder feeling tears come.

She smiled down at me.

My eyes widen and rage built up to the extreme levels.

I felt something else in my mouth then I felt like I was drowning.

I can't breath....am I...dying?

Suddenly I was pushed harshly off of the couch.

I coughed out harshly holding myself up breathing out hard then vomited out black blood all over the floor.

I hear a blood curdling scream.

"NO!!! NOOOO!!! NoOOOOOOOoOOOOOO!!!!!"

I look up seeing her gripping her hair screamed.

"GET OUT!!!!!"

She arched her back looking up.

I see a black mist quickly disappear. She sat there frozen with her mouth open then collapsed becoming completely limp.

I quickly got up catching her before she fell off the couch.

I look down at her seeing her eyes closed and mouth open.

"Jess.. please..."

I felt her pulse

I felt tears.

"Jess!!!"

I set her down on the floor.

I cried out loud.

"No... Please no..."

I put my hands on her chest focusing all my energy on her. I closed my eyes crying feeling her body getting so cold.

I grit my teeth focusing on seeing what's inside her body.

Black blood everywhere..

I grit my teeth

I'll do anything to get it all out... I don't care it if kills me.

I yell out putting all my energy in her body forcing the blood out.

All the sudden she started vomiting on her face shaking like she was having a seizure.

I quickly move her on her side.

She shot her eyes open vomiting a lot black blood.

I felt no more in her.

I could taste my own blood feeling it coming from my nose.

I felt my body in completely shock. I collapsed on the floor with my eyes wide open.

Jess's POV

I coughed up so much blood.

I slowly look up.

My eyes widen as I see Kyle collapse with blood coming out of his mouth and nose.

"KYLE!"

I wiped my face crawling over to him.

I see his eyes open but no response.

I felt tears come.

I felt his wrist feeling a light pulse.

I breathed out.

He's out of energy... He's in shock.

I slowly grabbed his hand and wrapped it around me.

I looked upstairs.

God damn it... The things I do for love..

I took a step gritting my teeth.

I forced my legs to go the rest of the way up.

I open his bedroom door walking him up to his bed.

I set him down lifting his legs on the bed.

I set his head above the pillow.

I grabbed the blanket on the other side of the bed covering him up.

I looked down at him

I went to his bathroom and grabbed some toilet paper. I look at him feeling my heart sink. I felt instant tears coming.

"Kyle..." I breathed out.

"I'm so sorry, I did this to you..."

I slowly kneel down to him.

I wipe his face and nose throwing the toilet paper away.

When I came back I put my hand on his face.

I felt more tears come.

I slowly take my hand off his face but my heart skip a beat when I felt his hand force my hand to stay on his face so tight.

My eyes widen as I see his eyes slowly open looking up at me.

I see him tear up.

"Jess.. Please don't go...not again...." I see him slowly sit up groaning.

I hear him choke up.

He looked up at me.

I closed my eyes feeling my muscles completely relaxed. It felt so amazing being in his arms. I never wanted to let go.

The years went by and he protected me with his life. He was always there when I needed him. I am so happy I have him in my life. He is and always will be my #1 hero.
