"Jeeeeeed!"
The whining made Jed's ears flatten even more to the sides of his face. "Seline, I don't wanna hear it! I promise I'll be back in a few hours!"
"But we barely know each otherrr! Just stay a few more minutes!"
He turned back to see Seline's spotty, dark face pressed up against the window, looking sad and lonely. Her big green eyes were extremely dilated from the meds, making her look even more pathetic. "Nooo more drugs for you," he muttered under his breath. He sighed… "Fine! But after we're done having this little chat, I'm leaving and not coming back until I get fuel!"
He yanked open the door on his side of the plane, leaving it open with high hopes that the conversation would be short, then he plopped himself down into his seat. "What do you want?" He reached behind the seats and pulled a bottle of water out of the pile of assorted things he had back there and shook it to keep his attention off of the loopy woman he'd rescued.
"Can you remember if you're underage or not? Cause you're kinda cute…" Seline leaned over in Jed's direction and grinned creepily at him, flashing her semi-sharp canine teeth. This was definitely not something she would say if she was clean of drugs. "You sound young."
Jed flinched and backed away a little, prying at the wrapper on the water bottle. Awkward. "Uhh…Seline…you know you're on drugs, right?" And they were definitely kicking in good. She was starting to worry him with her behavior. Ten minutes ago, she was miserable and angry at him!
"Whaaat? Are you saying I can't handle painkillers? I'm fiiiine!" Her nose touched his shoulder and she rubbed her cheek against his arm affectionately. "You are so soft. Like a teddy bear."
Before she could reach out to touch him, he backed out of his seat and stepped onto the ledge leading up to his side door. "Thanks…I think. I'll be going now."
"I thought you liked me!" Seline whined, looking dejected. "You kissed me!"
"Yeah, well…I'm not gonna take advantage of you when you're doped up! So just stay here! You're freakin' me out!"
"Will you take advantage of me later?"
Jed, baffled by Seline's straightforward question, rubbed his aching forehead. "Ugh. Seline, I don't have time for this…besides, I thought you said you were married." He peeked through his fingers at her. She was still grinning ridiculously at him, and her tail was wagging erratically. It wasn't attractive in the slightest...at least not to his human side.
"Yeah, so? I'm technically a widow. Nobody would know..."
"Uh…goodbye, Seline. I'll be back soon. Stay here," he pointed to her seat, "and don't get into the amphetamines." He jumped down into the sand and slammed the door in her face.
"NOOOOOOOoooooooooo!" the droning noise of Seline's whining didn't affect him this time. He just kept on trekkin', even when the sound of Seline's brittle little claws scratching against the window started up. He'd somehow buff that out later. He flipped his hair out of his face and stared out into the vast desert. It'd probably take a long time to reach civilization.

Seline snapped awake from a deep slumber. "WHO'S THERE."
She looked around. She was back in the plane. Her hands were out as if she needed to protect herself from any danger, but she quickly dropped her guard when she realized she was still too far away from humanity to get attacked again. And where was Jed, anyways? She knew he said something about having to go get fuel, since he needed it if they were ever gonna get out of that desert rut. He must've left her to go do that when she passed out from the drugs. She looked down at her leg. Every little movement hurt, but at least the drugs were still slightly in effect.
Did he say to stay out of the drugs? She definitely recalled him saying something like that. But who was he to tell her what to do? She peeked over her seat at the pile of suitcases, first aid kits and whatnot in the back of the cockpit. She had to keep herself entertained somehow!
She picked up a first aid kit and opened it. There were simple medicines like aspirin and Neosporin inside, along with a few band-aids. She took out the bottle of aspirin and rattled it. The pain in her aching limbs gave her the urge to just down the whole bottle…but she denied herself the pleasure. She put the aspirin back and set the first aid kit down by her feet. She then yanked a large leather suitcase out from the middle layer of Jed's collected things. He said he had money in these suitcases. What if he wasn't joking? She'd just have to find out! She clicked open the locks and flipped open the suitcase.
It was filled with Ulysses' and Benjamins. There were literally stacks upon stacks of money clips in there! Seline stared at the cash with her jaw hanging down. How in the world…?
She quickly shut the case and wedged it right back into the place where she found it. Jed would probably be pretty peeved if he'd noticed she was digging around in his personal belongings…that he stole. She pouted and crossed her arms. She was lonely. Freedom wasn't as great when there was nobody around to share it with. Even she would succumb to the cheerful and 'trustworthy' personality of Jed Isenberg if she had no one better. She looked out her window. It was sure starting to get windy out there…
