The group thumped into bed. They had been discussing what to do with Steven all evening, and they were worn out. A few moments later, the sound of their snores could be heard. In the dark half- destroyed beach house, a shadowy figure could be seen lurking around, silently floating (yes, floating) up the stairs to Connie's bedside, her sleeping soundly, unaware of what was happening. The figure threw away his cloak, revealing Steven, in his spirit form, hovering with a ghastly glow, half transparent. He took a deep breath, and swiftly dived into Connie's head, entering her dreams. He woke up in a dream where Connie and him were fused together into Stevonnie, stranded on Jungle Moon, surviving by sheer will. It gave him a nostalgic feeling, and a tear fell down his cheek. He relived his memories at a distance from them, and followed them up Lars' ship when they were rescued. Stevonnie unfused as soon as they got on the ship, and as soon as Connie saw Spirit Steven floating in the corner, crying silent tears, she sprinted over to him, tears flowing. She hugged him tight, sniffing, "STEVEN! Why are you here? I thought you were...dead! Why are you floating? Are you still alive? Say something!" Steven held her hands tight, and whispered, "Connie...I'm sorry...I'm dead. I... just came here to visit and say goodbye. I'll still visit though! But only in your dreams. If I can, I'll group all of us in a single dream to chat, alright? Don't cry over me, you still have a life to live! If you have any questions or problems, just ask me here." Even more tears streamed down Connie's face. "But what if...what if the Diamonds come and destroy the Earth? Without you guys, we don't even stand a chance against them! There's only 5 of us, counting Greg!" Steven landed on the ground, saying, "You don't have to beat them, Connie. You only have to reason with them so Earth won't get destroyed. Violence isn't the only way to solve problems." she hugged him tighter. "Please...Steven. Don't scare me like that ever again." Steven embraced her. "I won't. I promise." He then left Connie's dream, leaving her face stained with tears. Connie whimpered, "Steven..." as she watched him disappear. She woke with a start, tears streaming. She found her bedsheets soaked with the amount of tears she had cried. Rushing down the stairs, she ran over to where Bismuth was sleeping, only to find her sobbing into the sofa, too. Therefore, Connie decided that this can wait for in the morning, as she wanted Steven to visit all of them before discussing this. Still crying, she went back to bed, and fell into an uneasy sleep.
