A woman in a lightweight lilac dress appeared out of the thick vegetation further down the beach from Alig and Hao.
"Is that the doctor?" Hao asked Alig.
"Yeah, she'll fix your back up right away." said Alig.
Once she reached the two Alig stood up and greeted her with a nod.
"Where's Rami?" He asked.
"He's gone to tell the King, he should be coming along with some others carrying along a stretcher in a bit. How's our patient?"
"Hey, how did you know my name?" said Hao.
"Has he lost his mind?" asked the doctor.
"I think it was a joke. His name's Hao. Although he has lost his memories." said Alig.
"Hm, I can't fix that." said the doctor.
"What's your name? I bet it's really complicated seeing as you're the island's doctor." asked Hao.
"Grafunullif Grafunullifadararada."
"Adararada means that she became a doctor." Added Alig.
"Can you pronounce the King's name? I'd like to hear it." asked Hao.
"No, of course not. It's far too complicated for us to pronounce." said Grafunullif.
"Can you read?"
"No, only the King can read. Why is he asking me these obvious questions, Alig? Did he hit his head?"
"He's not from the island."
"Well, that's just not possible. How could he even cross the sea?"
"In a boat. Why are you asking me such an obvious question?" said Hao.
Grafunullif had a bewildered look on her face, she had never heard the word boat before, which shocked her as she was one of the most knowledgeable people on the island.
"What on earth is a boat?" asked Grafunullif.
"Like a huge bit of driftwood that you can live on." said Hao.
"Oh, I didn't know you could do that with wood, we don't have any here on the island. It's been a while since I last learned something new, you'll have to tell me some other things you can do with wood later. Let me get you fixed up."
"But you don't look as though you have any supplies, how're you going to fix me?"
"Wait a moment, you'll see."
"The King lets her use his command of the land to fix people" said Alig.
"I don't think that's how doctors work" said Hao.
Grafunullif cupped her hands together, and in them started to pool some shimmering blue liquid. Much more vibrant in colour than water.
"Wow, how did you do that?" asked Hao.
"That's a secret between me and the King. Now, stand up." said Grafunullif.
Hao stood up, Grafunullif looked at his wounds for a moment before whispering into the liquid, she was whispering for a long time before the liquid began to lift out of her hands and flow in streams onto Hao's wounds. When it made contact with his wounds it glowed a little before disappearing, leaving behind healed skin, the only sign of any wounds were the tears and rips in Hao's clothes.
"This is incredible! How is this possible?" Hao asked.
"I can't tell you, sorry. But, yes, it is incredible."
It was taking longer for Hao's largest wound on his back to heal, and whilst it was faintly glowing Graf's hands lit up in a blindingly bright flash.
"What happened?" asked Alig as Hao collapsed down into the sand.
"I don't know, it's never happened before." Graf said, her hands were shaking. "I saw something terrifying."
"What was it?"
"A colossal river." She said as she sunk to the floor. "I feel so small."
Hao started to scream. "What was that!" He said as he started to sob. "Why was it so large?"
"Did you see it too, the river?"
"I think s-so," he couldn't finish his sentence through his tears.
"What's so scary about the river?" asked a bewildered Alig.
"I can-can-can't explain" sobbed Hao.
The three sat in silence as Graf and Hao calmed down.
