Name Origin: Broom Spirit
Physical Appearance: A possessed broom or a broom that has grown sentience. The Hahakigami usually depicted as an old fashioned broom with wings. Often with eyes on the bristles and occasionally depicted with a mouth. They are also commonly pictured with a ‘wild’ expression.
Human Interactions: Hahakigami(s) are considered good luck and some people even have charms of them as a sort of a totem. They are said to ‘sweep out’ the bad spirits and evil energy. They are said to protect those in childbirth as well as keep guests from overstaying their welcome.
Common actions: Hahakigami are known for sweeping leaves wildly in the late mornings of autumn. Often times in the colder mornings.
Abilities: They have the ability to give good luck to humans, the ability to ward off bad spirits, and The ability for a non-organic(handmade) creature to move. How they move exactly is unclear although it is assumed to be in sweeping.
