Name Origin: Wivere meaning serpent or worm from anglo-Saxon.
Physical Appearance: A bipedal reptile in the dragon family. Wyverns have a single pair of wings and sometimes wyverns are depicted as having bat-like hands on the end of their wings. Wyverns have long tails commonly shown to be as long or longer than their main body, these tails end in a spike in the shape of a diamond or an arrow. The tail tip is depicted to be poisonous. Wyverns are smaller then 4-legged dragons(Drakes).
Movement: Wyverns move by hopping around, hovering above the ground or full flight.
Human Interactions: While not inherently violent towards humans wyverns will attack if a human is near the nest or simply in the way of getting a trinket.
Common actions: Like many dragon wyverns are hoarders and are attracted to shiny objects that they line their nests with it. Wyverns are very violent towards other creatures and will attack even those larger then they are.
Abilities: Flight, Breathes fire on rare occasions, breathes poison.
Fun facts: They where sometimes blamed for the start of widespread plagues!
