Annalyn Coler
After a few minutes we are at our dorms and I have completely packed, Gracie is still doing a few things so I just run down to Kade’s dorm to see where he is.
I knock on the door and Kade comes out, surprised it’s me. “Can I talk to you?” He asks and I assume it is about Gracie.
“Uh- Sure.” I step into his dorm and he turns to me.
“So-” He stops himself, thinking. “I-” Just spit it out, dude.
“Kade?”
“I- So-” Just repeating his chunks. “I am in love with you.” He says and my eyes go wide.
“I- Woah-” I had been thinking about it bu- wha?
“Sorry, I hadn’t meant to tell you today.” He says, “I have liked you since seventh. I didn’t want to keep hiding it. I am sorry bu-”
I jump over and kiss him deeply. His eyes are wide and I am probably just as shocked as he is.
“I-” His eyes are still huge after we part. “I didn’t think that you-”
“I didn’t either.” I say, my arms are wrapped around his neck, his big blue eyes are staring into my hazel ones.
I honestly didn’t think I felt the same until he said something.
I kiss him again, this time not parting until there is a knock on the door. I turn around and open it, as I do I see Gracie standing there.
Fuck. She likes him and- fuckity fuck fuck. “Hey you two, making out?” She laughs. Well she was the one that made me start thinking about it. “Oh wow, you guys actually were.” Her eyes flash with more emotion than I have ever seen her have.
“Wat? No we weren’t.” I say and Gracie laughs, her eyes not smiling with her lips.
“Your lipstick is smudged and Kade has it on his lips.” She says, still laughing. “It’s fine. You guys don’t have to hide it.” Gracie doesn’t think it’s fine. She is devastated. She hides her feelings well, but this time she isn’t.
“I-” Kade looks at me after wiping his lip. “We are sorry.” He says. I think there is something behind his words. Something, I just can't put my finger on it.
“Why are you sorry? I told you guys you should date.” She smiles, still trying to hide how destroyed she is. “Well let’s go unless you guys just want to stay here?” She asks.
“No, we’ll go.” I say.
Kade Russo
(Five years later.)
Bum bum buh-buh. Bum bum buh-buh.
She looks beautiful, walking down towards me.
Annalyn.
Her white dress glowing next to her newly dark hair. Gracie is holding Annalyn’s train. (You stole my man. Now I hold the wedding dress. lol) They both look amazing- I mean, no.
Annalyn looks amazing.
She is smiling, her bright red lipstick contrasting with her pale skin.
My tux was specifically picked out by Gracie, she has done most of the planning for this, and the payments to be honest.
Gracie ended up becoming a mathematician.
Whilst I became a *beeep.* *Radio static.* (I have realized I have no idea what Kade wants to do later in life. Best girlfriend ever. {Although I have asked, he just said he didn’t know.})
And then Annalyn became, *Beep- beep.* *Heavy metal music.* (best. wife. ever.)
After a few minutes we end up at the I dos. Annalyn is standing in front of me and Gracie is behind her, watching and smiling.
Is she really happy about this?
“Kade, do you take Annalyn to be your waffley webbed wife?” (Yes, that was intentional.)
“I- I do.”
