Physical appearance: Manticores, for the most part, resemble a lion at least in its body, the face is said to resemble the face of a man. (Although most modern interpretations have a lions face) It also and most notably has a scorpion tail and quills. Some interpretations also give the manticore dragon likes wings. A more peculiar detail is that they have three rows of iron or silver teeth.
Abilities: The manticore’s spines are sometimes said to be able to shoot out as an offensive weapon. These spines are poisonous and They also are said to eat their prey (usually humans) whole. Their three rows of teeth are said to makes bones into dust.
Movement: nothing much is known about their movement although it is assumed that they move around like a lion. What is known is they can take very large leaps.
Human interaction: Manticores are known for specifically hunting down humans as a form of prey.
Behavior: Other then there hunting of humans very little is known about their overall behavior.
Fun fact: it’s original name translated into “Man- Eater”. Another fun fact the manticore originated in Asia but got popular over in Europe as well!
