Sage was warming up Akko in the indoor arena. She had already ridden the other two ponies and while they were both amazing, she didn’t think they were right for her. With his amazing ability to jump tall fences, Roy would be better suited to a show home. And while Ellie was a sweet, calm mare who was smooth and easy to ride, Sage wanted a little more energy in her pony. So far, Akko wasn’t disappointing her.
Akko listened well to the cues Sage gave her. The pony moved in a relaxed yet lively manner. Sage walked and trotted Akko, easily maneuvering the pony around the arena. Akko picked up the canter when asked, and after a bit, they tried out the jumps.
Sage kept Akko centered at the fence and counted the strides as the mare eagerly approached the first jump. They cleared it with ease and continued on the small test course. The pair felt in sync and jumped each fence with no issues. After they completed the course of jumps, Sage cooled Akko down at the walk.
