As I jumped off the stage I glanced around the crowd. I stopped when I see Kyle. Without a second thought I walked up to him.

"Dude that was insane." his friend said still seeming stunned.

"Yeah that was awesome! I never thought I'd actually see Craig dancing with a girl." Kyle said seeming amused.

"Yeah he's actually a bit... Intimidating toward new people but with pretty girls. He's very straight forward." said the raven haired girl.

I snickered.

"I could tell."

"What do you think about him?" she bluntly asked.

"Uh he's not my type. He's an interesting one for sure."

"Oh really, not your type, huh? What would you say your type would be?"

I tensed slightly glancing at Kyle for a second then looked back at her.

"Uhh you know, I'd rather not say in front them. It's more of a girl talk."

"Well then, why didn't you say so?" she said grabbing my hand while walking me off deeper in the crowded room.

I looked back at Kyle, 'Help me.' I mouthed.

He didn't do anything but smile.

She pulled me in the corner where the karaoke event was going on.

"I'm sorry I don't even know your name. Why are you asking me such personal questions?" I asked feeling a bit pressured.

"Oh it's Wendy. I'm sorry what's your name?" she said seeming unfazed by my reservations to opening up.

"I go by Jess." I said unintentionally sharp.

She did nothing but smile.

"Awesome, nice to meet you, now." *clap*I have to ask!!" She said seeming a bit overjoyed.

"Okay, what's the question?"

"Do you have a thing for Kyle?" she asked pausing in between each word.

My eyes went wide as my face sparked in heat.

"Uhh... W-why are you asking me such personal questions?" I asked repeating myself for a second time.

Her smile grew as I could see excitement building up.

"You do!! YOU LIKE HIM!!!" she practically screamed out. Thankfully the karaoke machine was loud enough no one else could hear from a far.

I covered my face while looking around noticing she didn't grab anyone's attention.

"Look, I don't know you well a enough to admit something like that to." I said with a shaky tone in my voice built from my embarrassment.

"Ohhhhhkay, what would you say if Kyle told me that he likes YOU?!"

My heart jolted as I shot my head up away from my hand in my face.

"Wait.... What?"

"Ohhhh, why would you care if you aren't interested in him?" she asked mockingly.

I crossed my arms feeling slightly irritated.

"Okay, okay." I looked around making sure no one could hear us.

"Tell me and I'll tell you."

"Are you kidding? Kyle has a huge thing for you. I figured that was obvious. He's constantly checking you out. He's not really good at hiding it."

I felt my heart flutter with her words as I felt a cheerful smile fall on my face.

"Soo..?"

She nudged me.

"Yeah, I like him." I said looking away shyly.

She squealed jumping up and down clapping.

"Oh my god!!! I knew it!"

"Yeah, yeah." I said knowing there was no way of backing from my confession now.

"Are you planning on telling him how you feel?"

"I.... don't know.." I said looking away feeling timid.

"Come on. Tonight is the best time to do it!!" She yelled out convincingly.

"Okay.... But... How can I tell him?"

"Hmmm.. I can get you and him alone together. Seem good enough?"

I felt my stomach butterfly realizing she wasn't going to leave me alone until I go through with this.

Damn, what if he turns me down?

I sighed looking up at her knowing what I wanted to do.
