"Everything alright?" Cody asked as Aero joined the rest of the crew in the shuttle, he shrugged but winked reassuringly at him.
The Dolls were all sat down one side of the spacecraft with the Ferals directly opposite them. Aero groaned internally as he registered that the only seat left was opposite Jago.
"I can swap?" Cody whispered as he reached out to touch Aero’s arm comfortingly.
"Nah," Aero shook his head, "I actually didn't take my gag suppressant so I'm pretty sure whoever's sat opposite me is in the splash zone."
Cody snorted loudly as Aero caught Jago glaring daggers at him.
Aero wandered over to the seat and began to strap himself in, pulling the harness tight against his chest. When he had finished he looked up to see that Jago was still staring at him with the usual unreadable expression.
"Just a friendly warning - I get super travelsick," Aero smirked as Jago's nostrils flared. "I guess it's one of the foibles of being broken," Aero added as he shrugged nonchalantly.
Jago stared down hard at the shuttle's floor as if he wanted to bore a hole through it with his eyes.
Houston I have ninety-nine problems but Jago sure as hell isn't one.
Aero grinned as he flattened his head back against the seat.
"Blast off in T minus six seconds,"
He glanced round to smile at Cody.
"Five."
Aero nodded at Tyron who took a deep breath and grinned back.
"Four."
Aero poked his tongue out at Sienna who rolled her eyes and reached to tighten her harness.
"Three."
Aero leaned back in his seat again and tried to get comfortable. It was going to be a bumpy ride.
"Two."
His gaze caught with Jago's. The Feral was staring at him, unblinking and frowning.
"One"
Aero closed his eyes.
