You know me to well my friend, and yes incidentally, you helped me discover me being bi.
Which caused a lot of trouble for our relationship back in the day, I felt guilty for not being able to give you what you wanted, and you always just took it stride, making excuses for me and making yourself look like the bad guy, like you were the one who was making me do all the things we did.
When in reality, I was the one who let them happen, I was the one who let you go as far as you wanted, and never stopped you, after a little while, I would just get on board to your train. If that makes any sense.
Whatever short our relationship might have been, truth be told I have and probably will not find a love as hard and as real as yours. At least not with another man.
Also what are you doing drinking?
Without me.
What happened to our group, bond by the party, the soul of dance and the fairy of mischief.
You came up with that, you know, we used to call ourselves the true underdogs.
You were a riot back then, we followed you everywhere, myself included, you were an alcoholic and we didn’t even know it. It got so bad you were drinking around the clock, going drunk to collage, buying weed on broad daylight in the parking lot, at first I didn’t notice, but slowly all of your bad behavior came to light.
I wonder how the rest of the gang is doing. Do you know anything about them?
Thankfully, if you’re sending this letters, it must mean you’re still alive and doing well, from what I can gather. I supposed that depressive teenage side of you has died? Or at least you’re going to therapy, tell me one of these is true, please.
On another note, I have my art connoisseur career to thank for bringing me to paris, this city is still the epicenter for new and growing artists.
I curate for the Guggenheim, they have a rotating selection of new and noteworthy artists, but what about you?
What is you’re adult life treating you like?
Hope you write back soon, – Martin
P.S. My transponder code is NX741, we can still send each other written mail, the government of paris is demanding I pay €20 for each letter now, said is for their troubles of opening the postal office. They must be going mad.
