Two hours passed, Namjoon and Yoongi still talking about how different their worlds are. Jimin had fallen asleep, his arms folded on the table and his head resting on them.
Namjoon started telling Yoongi of Jimin's nightmares as Jin had walked in to the dining room ranting about his job but as soon as he realised Yoongi was there he had shut up and began introducing himself to the stange man with orange hair.
"Hello, my name is Kim Seok-"
"I'm aware, you were the third thing he mentioned." Yoongi said cutting him off. Jin looked over at Namjoon but noticed Jimin sleeping on table and smiled softly.
"Jimin's been really tired these days, hasn't he?"
"Yeah, he's been locked in his room reading or playing video games or drawing.. I don't know what's been bothering him but do you think you could find out? He trusts you so much more than me..." It was a request but Jin wouldn't see it that way, he would call it his duty as Jimin's best friend and the only other parental figure in his life.
"Yeah, later. When he's awake." Jin cleared his throat. "What do you want for dinner?"
"I'll eat anything if you're cooking." Jin turned to Yoongi who replied: "I'm not a picky eater.. So really anything."
Jin left the dining space to the kitchen, leaving the two boys to finish their conversation.
"So about these...Dreams.. Jimin's been having," Yoongi paused. "What are they about?"
"Well...the first night - When Jin and I got back we heard Jimin talking to himself and not long after we heard him scream so we ran upstairs and found him crying. He said he was stabbed, and he had chest pains for awhile and he couldn't -"
"Wait- he was stabbed.. Where was he stabbed?" Namjoon lifted his hand and placed in over his collarbone. Yoongi sighed. He ran a hand through his hair muttering something about Hoseok and how he's going to kill him.
"Hey, he's okay there's nothing to-"
"There's everything to worry about! The spear he was stabbed with was supposed to hit me! I just thought the idiot had horrible aim but I don't... Maybe Hobi accidently summoned Jimin's spitural form? It would explain why I couldn't see him. I-"
"Hey.. Calm down, Jimin's fine-"
"No he's not fine. Whether he was stabbed in his astral form or not-"
"Astral form?"
"Astral projection." Yoongi said, as if it were that self-explanatory. Namjoon's confused expression caused Yoongi to sigh.
"We can look in the basement for a book on it. I don't know much about it, but in our world you can't see astral drops unless your a wizard of some sort."
...
"Nothing." Namjoon said dropping another book on the table. "A hundred and fourty five books and you'd think we'd be done by now."
"Shut up, I'm reading."
"You don't even have the book open?"
"Don't need to." He turned to the boy who wore the same confused expression as before. "The book will open once I find-" He was cut off by the creaky basement door.
"Namjoonie- Hyung..." It was Jimin. "What are you looking for?"
Namjoon turned to Yoongi. Who sighed.
"We're looking for a blue book. It has gold writing on the spine and has a purple ribbon in it as a bookmark. Have you seen it?"
Jimin swallowed the lump in his throat. "N-no.." He lied.
If they find out that I took that book when we moved everything down here, I might get in trouble.. It was a book my mom told me never to touch. But I needed answers. I needed to know just what the hell killed her and what caused her to get in so much trouble. I just know that book will answer my questions.
"Jimin, you're lying." Dammit.
"No I'm not." He tried to remain nonchalant but his efforts didn't go untonticed. "Jimin..." Yoongi started. "If you have any idea where it is, you need to tell me.."
"I don't know anything.. Believe me, if I knew I would tell you.." He backed away from the door and ran upstairs.
Namjoon turned his attention to Yoongi who wasn't acknowledging him because he was still staring where Jimin once stood.
"Yoongi," He turned. "Yeah?"
"He's hiding something."
"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out." I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid.
