After school ended Kasey went home and got ready for her friends birthday party. Her headache she was having earlier this morning was beginning to cease but it still felt like something was one fire in the back of her head. Like a tiny match burning slowly. She was so absorbed in her thoughts about what she was gonna do for Alex she didn't even notice her aunt standing at the door.

"Hey"  her aunt said scaring the crap out of her.  Grasping her chest and looking up at her aunt with eyes full of fear she replied with, " Y-yes auntie, what is it?" gulping down the fear she knew she shouldn't have she didn't even look her aunt in the eyes while saying it.

" Sorry dear, I didn't mean to scare you," her aunt says handing her the present that she got for Alex, " I know you were planning this big surprise for Alex and so I added on to it." As she said this she placed a little box onto her bed. 

The present was wrapped in cute wrapping paper with little cats with hats on it. Kasey chuckled knowing how much her best friend loved cats. Alex did own three cats after all. Laughing softly she grabbed the present and slide it into her overnight bag, got into her car and went off to Alex's house.

When she arrived at her house Kasey actually questioned whether or whether not she would loose her temper again and hurt another person. "You really don't believe me do you?" the voice asked, "You don't believe the fact you are a monster?" Every time it spoke it felt like a fire igniting, and burning  in her skull, and every time it left it simmered down to a dull match. She began to panic when the door began to open so she put her hood on and pulled the drawstrings tightly, hiding her face, and the tears that began to prick her eyes. Alex opened the door and saw her face hidden in her hoodie.

"Kasey, are you okay?" She asked he in an upset tone. Kasey sniffled and wiped her nose on her sleeve and said, " Yeah I'm okay can I come in?"

"o-oh yeah come in." Alex gestured inside and welcomed Kasey inside out of the cold. 

" I have a great present for you, I hope you will like it." Kasey said smiling at Alex, hoping for a good response.

" Great! Thank you so much!" she said this and grabbed the present from Kasey and put it on the table.

" Come on, I wanna introduce you to the others."

"Others" she thought " What others?"
