"The engagement is cancelled, let's go. " Mark's father said after finishing.
They left, Mark making faces in my direction. Air followed after them, hanging her head low. I cleaned up, making sure to wear gloves when washing the dishes. Mevis was beside me, saying, "Thank you. "
I ignored her, concentrating on not touching the water.
"What's the story between you and Air? "
I stopped and said, "I respect her a lot. She may not remember, but she helped me control my powers. She was the only one willing to stay with me after some things happened. "
"Sounds nice. "
There was a moment of silence. When I was done, I asked, "So, Mevis. I want to request permission to go over to Mark's place for personal reasons. "
"Do you know how much power the Sloans hold in this country? If they report you, who knows what might happen? "
"I am an Elemental. They will never catch me and leave alive. "
"You can go, but don't kill anyone. "
"Thank you. "
I took off my gloves and left the house, walking along the night lights. After a few steps, I turned myself into flames and traveled in high speeds, arriving at Mark's estate. I slipped into the house and hid in a dark corner. I could hear the family screaming at Air for being useless.
I sent slight electrical currents into the lights, shutting them.
I walked up to Mark, who was looking around in confusion. I grabbed his flabby neck and said, "Hey, guess who? "
He screamed and tried to fight back.
His parents tried to help him by screaming, but by sending lightning at them, they laid down, stunned. I looked back at Mark, illuminating my face by having a ball of fire near me. I told him, "Surrender Air's contract. "
Air had started to tug at my sleeve once more.
Mark said, "Over my dead body. "
"That works too. " I said to him. "The contract is cancelled that way too. Maybe I can send your family too. "
He whimpered.
I heated my hand slightly.
He finally shouted, "Fine! "
The contract appeared before him. He grabbed it and ripped it in half, freeing Air. He collapsed on the spot. I looked at Air and guided her out. Walking back, I asked, "Are you angry about what I did? "
She shook her head.
