I rested Kichi's head against my arm and smiled affectionately at her.
Even this tired, and you have an incredible glow. Thank God I caught up with you this time.
It had been some time since I traveled by train. The ticket taker walked through the packed train car, punching each ticket he checked. Returning my attention to the lovely one next to me, I stroked her warm cheek and watched her shift. I leaned into her and inhaled. Just as I had thought the first time we met, Kichi smelled nice. Bewitching. Her skin. Her hair.
Just sitting next to you makes me feel closer to you.
When I lifted my gaze and looked ahead, I noticed a girl staring in my direction. A fan?
Damn! It would mean trouble if she recognized me.
Thinking quickly, I removed my vest and placed it over Kichi's head to hide her face. I then sank lower in my seat, pulling my cap further down to obscure my own.
I better get comfortable because I felt like it would be a long ride to Chester. With sight, I looked at the sleeping beauty at my side.
"I missed you, Kichi." I leaned down in inhaled her scent. "More than you know."
