Water's steps caused ripples. The layer of water made the supermarket look like a mirror. Water, some distance away, stopped on the spot. He muttered, "Wait, it's as if you want me to get closer... "
I sat up and gave him a smile.
"A gift from me. " I said.
I touched the ground, my fingers steaming. Lightning was sent across the water, shocking Water. His body melted into the water, but the lightning still traveled through him. I got up and started to leave.
I had dispersed myself intentionally so that Water would cover the whole place, trying to hit me. Water played right into my hand. I wanted to send lightning through the water when the place was flooded, allowing me to shock Water.
One more step to exit the supermarket, the water beneath me froze over, trapping my left foot. The ice crushed it, making me stumble forward. I noticed the crowd in front of the store, then turned into flames. Water surrounded me, trapping my escape. Water, the Elemental, popped out of it, his hair frizzy.
I solidified myself and got stabbed in the neck with his trident.
Water rubbed his head and muttered, "That hurt... "
I tried to turn to flames, but a thin layer of water covered me, not allowing me to do it. Water muttered some more, freezing my arms and legs to the ground. He searched through my pockets, trying to find the tags. I melted the ice and reached out to Water. He grabbed my arm, stopping me.
"Checkmate. " I whispered.
My whole body erupted into flames, evaporating Water's arm. He cursed and pulled out his trident, preparing to stab me again. I pointed at his face and grinned. I told him, "Bang. "
His face exploded.
Water grabbed my throat and skewered me through my shoulder. I sent Lightning into his arm, making his body unstable. He liquefied, releasing me. I pulled his trident out and sent fire out in every direction, evaporating the water encasing us. I turned to flames and ran off.
Water, who had already recovered smiled at me.
"You got lucky! " He shouted.
Water disappeared from the scene, the supermarket looking like a flood occurred.
