The Villian's Younger Brother

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

May 24, 2020

**WARNING THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS SOME GORE**

After my first tea time with Abelardo, I have been consistently meeting him every two or three days. Thanks to this, I have dramatically improved Abelardo's health. His skin has gotten healthier and the bags under his eyes are starting to fade, his smiles are more frequent too. But there's still a huge risk that he will use me as a replacement, but I thanks to me improving his health right after mother's death, he shouldn't be going mad yet.

The next issue is Ian. He still has not been in contact with anyone. I do my best to keep a consistent checkup on him. Today is the 17th day. It's sort of tiring to do, the mansion is huge and I'm just a little boy. Ian, please at least reply to me then I would feel like my efforts are somewhat paid off. I felt irritated with this young boy's stubbornness but there was no helping it. He would grow up to be a wretched villain, so his growth is vital. As I walk over to the usually locked door, I lightly knock.

"Brother, did you eat?"

He doesn't reply. Ahh dear, Ian this annoyingly stubborn fellow. Should I just break down this damn door?

As I am pondering I suddenly hear a loud crash coming from the other side of the room.

"Brother?! Are you alright?"

I hear footsteps coming near the door. My heart beats with anticipation, perhaps he's finally giving in?

"Do you not know how to shut your mouth?"

It was a cold reply. Though I had already prepared for this type of attitude so there was no shock. Instead, I felt delighted that there was finally a reply so I said back without hesitation.

"Brother!! You're alive thank god!"

"What kind of crap are you saying?"

"You haven't come out of your room for weeks now, naturally I started to think you died or something. Brother, it's so nice to hear your voice again."

"Are you mocking me?"

The voice sounded colder than usual. I heard a creak from the door. Finally, the slim figure appeared. Ian looked incredibly weak, yet his eyes were murderous.

Ian dear it was just a joke~ But compared to me you look like a kid from the slums...

"Brother looks too thin!"

I'll need to sneak some snacks into Ian's room.

"Enough. I forbid you from coming close to my door again."

Just as he was about to slam the door shut I instinctively reached out to stop it from closing. It was a stupid move since it shut tight squeezing my child-like hands.

"Oww!"

Ian's eyes widened, he saw his brother's small hands jammed between the door. Flustered, he quickly let go of the handle. As the door creaked open, his brother's fingers were swollen red with blood dripping. His tears were slowly running down his cheeks. Ian was speechless.

The maids rushed in to help Aden and some of them couldn't help but give Ian a scornful look. Young master Aden had been trying to check on his brother's health daily however, in the end, was injured thanks to him. There was a long silence that covered them.

[Ouchhh!! crap this hurts so damn much!! My nails are bleeding too! What is this did the nail fall off? Crap my body is way too delicate.]

Aden's child-like body couldn't handle such brute force. The pain swelling from his hands made his eyes start to tear up. It was a bit embarrassing to cry, I don't remember the last time I cried. I quickly hid the wound behind my back and forced my tears so stop flowing.

"I'm finneee..."

Crap. I sound like I'm in a lot of pain. One of the maids that came to help before me held me in a protective manner. She was a pretty daring maid since she was obviously glaring at Ian. This isn't a good progression, right? I need to clear the misunderstanding.

I lightly nudge the maid away without using force with my hands. The maid looks back and hurriedly backs away so that I wouldn't get hurt.

"Sorry it was my fault brother, I was being dumb and moved my hands towards the door..."

Ian looked at me with confusion. Was this really his annoying brat of a brother? He used to cry and wail all the time in front of his parents, he received the most love and attention. His mother, who was the only comforting person in his life also put Aden above him sometimes. Just thinking about it made him mad. He hated how Aden could do about anything to receive love.

After the death of his mother, his world became grey. Nothing mattered anymore. He didn't want to study, eat or sleep. He didn't feel anything anymore. As he secluded himself inside the room, there was always the annoying brats voice coming from the other side.

It just wouldn't go away. Ian's last strand of patience ran out one day. He was furious, couldn't the brat just let him mourn in silence? He wanted to kick the brat out so that he'd never see that face again. The face that looked so similar to his dear mother, for some reason he loathed it.

When he looked at his younger brother after weeks of being apart his heart burned even more. He hated that face, a face without any worry or responsibilities.

He had expected the worse when he accidentally hurt Aden. He was sure that Aden would confess to his father about this and get him punished. Instead, his brother apologized for his actions.

"Brother I know you dislike me, and I know I've been really annoying these past years but I want brother and me to have a good relationship. Today was my fault I was being too hasty I'm sorry, I'll leave now."

Aden gave Ian a helpless look. The bloodshot eyes after crying from pain did not help soothe Ian's, chaotic heart. After a moment of watching his brother's tiny back, he scoffed and slammed the door shut. He didn't want to see the brat again.

-

"Young master we have called a doctor."

The young maid rushed to my side and carefully rolled up my bloody sleeves. Some of my nails were broken from the force, and my palm was bruising. It was terrible to look at but since no bones were broken it didn't really matter to me. I need to make sure that Abelardo doesn't treat Ian coldly because of this. I looked at the young maid, she was with me since when I first came to this world. I didn't know her name but for some reason, it naturally flowed to me. Perhaps it's Aden's subconscious memories, he probably relied on this maid quite a lot.

"Mary."

That was her name. It was a simple name, many commoners had the same name. Mary looked up at me, she was quite pretty. Though her skin wasn't as white as most nobles and hair were a common brown she had a well-balanced face. She was still young, probably a teenager.

"Young master, does it hurt? Please wait a little longer the doctor will arrive soon."

Mary bent down and tried soothing me. She probably thought I was going to cry again but I've already gotten used to the pain.

"Mary, about today's incident do not report to father, tell that for the other maids as well and the butler. Say that I told you to say so."

"Young master that's!"

"I will talk to father about it so don't worry. Please make sure this doesn't go through father's ears."

"...I understand...but you will need the doctor to check you up no matter what."

A knock came from the door.

"Hello, I am here for a checkup for young master Aden."

"Please come in."

The door was open for the elderly doctor. He had a scholarly look, a pair of clean glasses and slicked-back grey hair.

"Greetings young master Aden you can call me Aldo."

Aldo glanced at my trembling hands and his eyes widened a bit.

[I'm surprised that he is not screaming, this wound looks quite painful.]

Aldo looked up to inspect the young master's face. Although Aden's eyes were slightly swollen from crying earlier he had a confident look.

Aldo unpacked his suitcase filled with medical instruments and bandages. He inspected the wound.

"Young master I'm sorry this may hurt a bit, but I need to make sure none of your hands has any fractures."

Aldo's hand slightly shines and he starts scanning Aden's hands.

[This is Magic!!]

I almost jumped from my seat. I've never seen someone's hand glow like that. Magic was indeed very beautiful. I stared in awe not even realizing the stings that the light did to my hands.

"Young master it seems that your bones are not harmed. Although the muscles around have been bruised pretty badly. I will have to use healing magic for this, your hands will feel a bit sensitive afterwards so you will be given some pills and bandages."

Aldo explained the circumstances to me. It was pretty interesting to listen to. Since I was a child, apparently my body hasn't fully matured to take in magic. So healing magic could make my skin very sensitive. Apparently it would sting even if wind blew on the surface. I needed bandages and pills to help the side effects stop.

"Ok, I understand."

Aldo started the healing process. My bruises were fading and the bleeding nails grew intact again. The process felt very relaxing, like a massage. After a few more minutes of healing Aldo carefully let go of my hand. The moment he stopped using his magic my hands felt super sore. It was uncomfortable and my eyes squeezed shut due to the feeling. Aldo looked a bit worried and hurriedly dressed my hands with some bandage.

"This cloth has a bit of magic inside. It can help with lessening the pain, although the medication is the most important. Since you are a child you will need to carefully eat these."

Aldo took out two small bottles and handed them to Mary.

"The red tablets are daily and the blue tablets are every 3 days. Both help with relieving pain, after a week or so the effects should subside, I recommend another check-up after a week to determine the young master's conditions."

"Yes understood."

"Thank you, Mr. Aldo."

I tugged on Aldo's sleeve to get his attention. I wanted to thank him for showing me the beauty of magic. Magic was definitely convenient, a wound that would've taken months to heal was healed in a matter of minutes. I gave a warm smile without noticing the blushes around me.

Aldo's heart pounded at the adorable looking young master. He'd never seen such a pure-hearted smile come out from nobles. Since he had a commoner background usually nobles refused to be treated by him. He had naturally grown accustomed to their cold stares. However young master Aden was different. His eyes were full of purity and kindness, he didn't reject Aldo after meeting him and gladly took the treatment. Aden's heart shone just as bright as his beauty. It gave such a radiant light that some of the servants started squinting their eyes with tears and clutching their hands tightly to their hearts.

As Aldo left the estate he looked up and saw Aden from the balcony of his room. The two eyes met and Aden gave a wide smile and waved Aldo goodbye. Aldo's nose started to feel sour-looking at the cute young master.

During his way home Aldo was silently thinking about having grandchildren. If he had a grandchild as lovely as the young master, his heart would be more than satisfied.

The "annoying and despicable" youngest brother of the Villian, Aden Silvermere. That's what the novel described him as, but I felt a little pity for him. Aden was always lonely and was never seen as something other than a beautiful object. He who resembled his deceased mother was always kept away from people by his obsessive father. And he was a laughing stock for his brother Ian since he was on the feminine side. He later becomes a minor obstacle and is killed off within the middle of the story. Somehow, I've become this Aden Silvermere.
