Edd was sitting at the kitchen table alone, well except for Ringo Jr. and her kittens Nova and Noodles, who were sitting on the table watching. The scruffy man was drawing in a sketch book he hadn't really used other than for police sketches, of which were no longer in his sketch book for obvious reasons. Roxxi was still at work even though he had gotten off early. His team had finally finished a case that had kept him, Matt, Eduardo and Laurel at the station for two weeks straight.

Figures the one day he's home, Roxxi would be on the late shift. On top of that, Ethan was with his friends and hanging out, and Tally was out with Ricky and Nicky.

He had hoped the four of them could have a family dinner together since it had been awhile. Roxxi, Tally and Ethan stopped by the station every few days to bring him spare clothes and something to eat so he wouldnt have to order in. The visits were nice, and gave him a breather to rest his brain for a little bit.

Regardless, it wasn't the same.

The scruffy man looked up from his sketch when he heard the front door open, "Mum I'm Home!" he heard his teenage son say loudly, and with that as a que, the cream colored kitten quickly ran over to her owner.

"She's still at work!" Edd said back and Ethan came into the dining room/ kitchen.

"Hey dad, did you close the case?" Ethan asked smiling as he picked up Nova, and the kitten perched on his shoulder.

"Course I did, Tiger," Edd smiled, "How was your day?"

"Eh, the same," Ethan shrugged getting a can of vanilla cola from the fridge and tossing a can of regular to his dad, "We couldn't sneak out of the base today, so we just played video games."

"That's good. But you know you shouldn't be trying to sneak out at all." Edd stated cautiously opening his cola hoping it wouldn't fizz up. "Neo London isn't like what it was when I was your age." He took a drink if his cola.

"Dad, when you were my age, The Somsins were still on air." Ethan jabbed grinning like the Cheshire he is. "Alright smart ass, my point still stands." Edd chuckled.

In comparison, Ethan was a ball of sunshine and laughs, while Edd had been almost the complete opposite at his age. It was a personality trait the boy obviously got from his mother, he was still a bit rebelious, but less of a "Your not the boss of me" and more "If I don't get caught, it didn't happen" kinda rebelious. Tally had been more of an angsty teen, and Edd enjoyed bring up her highschool pictures when he could. Despite having a punk mom, their daughter had fallen into cringe levels of punk and rebelious.

While Edd and his friends stirred up they're fair share of trouble when they were young, it was appearant, the four teens were quickly following in they're fathers foot steps. And just like them, scolding and grounding weren't going to do much to keep them from causing they're own special blend of havoc and chaos for whatever poor soul was on babysitting duty.

The teen sat down next to his father and asked what he was doing and Edd said he was just sketching a bit.

From what Ethan could see it was simple portraits of his mother, his aunt Vanessa, his uncle Aaron; Edds older siblings, and Ethan himself.

"Can I watch?" Ethan asked and Edd smiled warmly, nodding, "Sure, Tiger."

The pudgy teen crossed his arms and used them as a pillow as he rested his head on the table, quietly watching his father sketch.

"When your mother and sister ges home, how about the four of us talk about visiting your Aunt and Uncle for the weekend?"

Ethan smiled more, "Sounds like fun, dad."

The two of them stayed like that as they waited for Roxxi and Tally to get home.
