Hm...okay, analysis time. Sammy is right about many things about the relationship. It contains many abusive qualities and he needs to reevaluate it. HOWEVER, this it NOT the way she should be talking. The first time she talked badly about them could be a mistake, but he clearly does not what to hear bad things about them right now and so the best thing at the moment is probably to stop talking about it. Then, later, when everyone is calm and willing, they can discuss their relationship calmly and have Mitch share his story in more detail so she can evaluate it without as many assumptions or guesses.
