I proceeded to get out of my queen size bed to go get a bottle of water. My throat felt like a desert; no more late night karaoke for a while. I noticed how my mom kept trying to over power my dad by shouting louder; ugh, I HATE that about her. Always needing to be a centerpiece instead of just being a wife and mom. I passed by my brother's room and then the dim lit bathroom.
When my dad caught a glance of me, and made eye contact, he stopped speaking. He really thinks that I just didn't hear all of the unnecessary yelling. *A sharp sigh* I am not a child. (You'd be surprised at the things I know.) Then he made this weird face to my mom; I guess, to signal her to stopping rambling because she definitely shut the hell up with her nagging. I walked passed them both, who're by the table that's close to the snack stand, and went to the fridge. I got my bottled water and the rest of the green grapes. Mom said, "good night sweetie, and sweet dreams". Dad just stood there and nodded in agreement with mom. I did a thumbs up and said likewise, which was more directed to mom since I know how badly she needs the 'support', and then I left the kitchen.
Once I was up the stairs, I overheard some really hurtful words like 'it's all of your fault' and 'I knew I should've left when I had the chance'. Look, I know our family is NOT perfect, but why would you want to leave us, want to leave me.....mom?
