Jim sat there just looking at the wall connecting their rooms. He couldn't
figure out what was so great about this woman. If he told Jacoby that she was
here, he would be given a reward. It was debatable but seeing as he couldn't
stand the vampire it made sense not to tell. Jacoby had always been on his
bad side from the moment they met. Their first meeting was when Jacoby
killed his older brother. He laid down on the bed thinking about that day. Jim
had just turned fifteen a few days before and his brother wanted to do
something special for him. They were supposed to meet right after school
ended for the day, but Jim had been held up. His teacher had forgotten to
give him some important papers. The papers were for his parents to allow
him to go on the school overnight trip. They had planned on meeting at their
normal hang out which was near the river under a bridge. Most of their
friends had brought stuff to make it more comfy. It was also so the homeless
in the area had a place to sleep instead of the ground.
Jim hand slid down the hill running towards the bridge only to see a
horrifying sight. His older brother was being held in the air by Jacoby. Bryan's
throat had been torn open, blood pulsing down his arms and dripping from
his fingertips, pooling on the ground below. Jim instinctively tried to attack
but with the last of his strength Bryan stopped him. He lifted his hand just
giving him a look while straining his body. Just seeing this made Jacoby laugh
at them. It made him so sick to see that prick just walk off as his brother lay
dying in his arms. After that day his life became nothing more than drama
after drama. He just gave up caring about anyone or anything. The only
feelings he really had left was the hatred towards Jacoby. A loud car honk
outside snapped him back to reality. Letting out a sigh he puts his hand
under his shirt feeling the scar on his chest. It had been given by Jacoby on
another occasion. He made the mistake of trying to save a small human child
from getting eaten by the monster. Thinking about everything made him get
annoyed glancing over to the wall.
"Woman you better know how to survive this hell."
Jim closes his eyes trying to relax while taking in a deep breath.
Slowly he drifted off to sleep. In the morning he woke up to a loud thud from
Teresa's room. She'd fallen out of bed when she rolled over. Teresa sat up
looking around the room groggy as she rubbed her eyes.
"Shit, I really need to stop doing that."
Getting up I rub my head looking around then remember where I am.
"Well time to get ready to go since my dumb ass only paid for one night."
As I walk to the bathroom I think about what am I'm going to do today. There
were so many places in the world I wanted to visit so I guess this was a good
time to start my travels. Laughing to myself, I make my way to the bathroom
leaving my change of clothes on the bed. Closing the door behind me I strip
out of my dirty clothes, letting them hit the floor, and then step into the
shower. I turn the facet handle to my desired temperature, suddenly caught
off guard with a burst of freezing cold water against my skin. It felt nice now
that the water was actually getting hot. Once finished with the shower I get
my clothing from the bed, form fitting pair of jeans along with a loose black
shirt. I really would rather shop for baggy clothes but needed to spend the
money wisely that was given to me.
Sitting down on the edge of the bed I brush my hair into a loose ponytail.
Hoping that today will be a good day for me. Not knowing in the other room
Jim was listening to my every movement. As I was getting ready to leave he'd
already left the room waiting for me.Jim was waiting for me to finish packing
my belongings. I leave the room a few moments later, holding the bag by the
top strap in my hand. Closing the door I turn bumping into someone.
Looking up I could see a man with short jagged dirty blonde hair. He stood
about 5 foot 10 inches which made me feel short. Trying not to stare I could
see on the left side of his neck was a tattoo of a bleeding skull. He had golden
eyes that accentuated his beautiful tan skin.
"Watch where you are going woman!"
Okay he might be good looking but damn he had to be an ass. Taking in a
calming breath I stand on my tiptoes looking to his face. He glanced down a
t me with a raised brow. As he looked down I could see the amused glint to
his eyes on how short I was in comparison. For some reason seeing that glint
made me angry even more than I'd been.
"Look you asshole it is not my fault you were literally outside my door. Also
stop with that look it is super annoying."
He leaned down toward me with a smug smile.
I let myself fall back on my heels to put some distance between us, afraid that
if he got closer his lips might be too close to mine. He put his hand on the
door behind me still getting closer.
"You know for someone so short, you have a lot of balls. Not my fault you
are an idiot who doesn't look before she walks."
Damn it why did this jerk have to ruin my mood already for the day. Now he
wants to put the blame solely on me. Unknown to me he'd planned the whole
encounter. This wasn't the place to let my anger get the better of me.
Looking up to the man I shove him away from my body.
"Who in the hell do you think you are? I don't need to justify myself to you
for walking out of my room."
His laughter boomed through the hallway as I stared at him expressionlessly.
Did he have a screw loose in his head or something?
Feeling like he was just going to get more annoying I started to walk off. This
had to be a sign that more shit was coming my way. A handsome guy
wouldn't appear out of nowhere unless something fishy was going on. I
rubbed my forehead with the palms of my hands as I tried my damnedest not
to glance back at that guy. What was with my self control right now? I
glanced back…he stood there with a smirk just watching me. Why did I have
to give him that satisfaction? Letting out a sigh I faced forward and
continued my way to the lobby, trying to ignore the fact he was walking
close behind me. Please just don't let him be one of Jacoby's goons or
something? The receptionist at the front desk looked at me then him with a
strange expression, I gave her a small smile to keep her from doing anything
unnecessary. Once outside I stopped and looked at him.
"Stop following me you fucking creeper."
He walked over putting his hand on my shoulder leaning down with a smile.
"What if I don't want too Teresa Vermont?"
My heart just sank into my stomach from fear. He knew my name.
"Who the hell are you?"
My voice was shaky as I tried to pull away from his hand, now gripped tightly
on my shoulder.
He pulled me in closer, reducing the distance between us, and placed his arm
around my shoulder. Please dear God, I don't want to see that monster for
one more second. I was preparing myself mentally to make my escape not
paying attention to what he was saying. Letting out a deep sigh, I punched
the man with all my might into his stomach taking off in a run. If I had any
chance of getting away then a crowd would be the best way to blend in. It
was still unknown to me what kind of a monster this man would turn out to
be. When I had almost reached the crowd, my body was flung into a wall
leaving me breathless and then dragged into a secluded alley by the same
man I punched mere seconds ago.
"That wasn't very nice Teresa. To think I thought you were basically
worthless. I really can't understand what that fucking vampire sees in your
ass."
He knew Jacoby, this had to be the most fucked up luck anyone could've had
in their life. He pinned me to the wall sounding off a low growl.
"I'm not your fucking enemy you little bitch. I hate that prick just as much
as you."
A smirk played across his lips as his voice changed to one of mockery.
"Although you might hate him more since I've heard about what he did to
you. Such a sweet angel to keep her virtue for such a long time."
Okay, he just crossed a line, nobody crosses that line.
At this moment the thought of getting hurt didn't cross my mind as tilted my
head back as far as it could go before flying forward, sinking my fangs into
his neck. He let out a growl, infuriated at being caught off guard while
pleasure spread through his body. This is what you get jackass for bringing
up my virtue after pinning me to a damn wall. Slowly his growls turned into
moans from the bite. Shit, how could I forget what my bite does to someone?
I kept drinking until I felt his body tense up. Thank God this fucker had his
orgasm because there was no way in hell I would endure being raped again
by some freaking psycho. He slumped down to the ground still holding onto
me, basically I was dragged down.
"What the fuck is wrong with you woman?"
This time I was the one smiling.
"Teaches you to not pin someone who is a half vampire, serves you right."
His face was still flushed as he gripped my wrist tighter.
"Oh you really wanted to make sure I wouldn't run away huh?"
Although I gave him credit for trying to get his composure back while
keeping me hostage.
