In the Ladies' bathroom, Tamara and Allyson looked at each other though each other's mirrors. Tamara notice Allyson's dress had a large rip near the right side of her collarbone and her eyes went up to see the redness of Ally's neck from the attack. Tamara hands her jacket to Ally with a little grunt while looking away to her right. She feels Ally taking the Jacket lightly away from her.
"Wear it, you have a tear there," Tamara said troubled what to say next, "Are...Are you hurt anywhere?"
"Nah ha, don't change the subject," said Allyson playfully, "I asked you do you like Itsuki at all?"
"Better question, does a handsome guy like him feels the same way?" Tamara stares at the mirror in front of her then she looks away sadly, "A ugly chick with nappy-hair and glasses."
Allyson frowns and gently puts her hand on Tamara's shoulder.
"Come back to me, we moved here together after high school to get away from those negative ingrates, " she gently said, "Have their words hunted you all this time?"
"Not just them...my mom..." Tamara began until she was interrupted by Ally.
"Screw your mother!!" she yelled, "Screw all those women in your family if I have to be honest!""Oh god I still remember that family BBQ you invited me to and they were so nasty to you; I was shocked you came from the same family!" "Your mother, she tried so hard to push you down during it all, like how you were different from your siblings; please tell me how that's a bad thing!?"
"I..." Tamara began again.
"Then thanks to those same siblings they made your school life hell as well," Ally carried on, "That time when you finally snap was the best..."
"Ally..." said Tamara and Allyson snapped out her rant; Ally puts her hand on Tamara's back; giving her a side hug.
"The way you carry yourself during all of that was so extraordinary beautiful to me, Tammy," she said calmly, "You ARE beautiful."
"It's funny, all my life I was told differently," Tamara started, "And it all came from people with my skin tone." Her voice starts to break, "Damn, I thought I was over this, why do I still care about this crap even now!?"
Allyson began to wiping Tamara's tears with her thumbs, "Look at me, you are a beautiful human being; those people from the past are nothing to you now," Ally said softly, "I and others see how wonderful you are, please don't waste your tears for those idiots."
Tamara did a small smile and sighed, "Okay, let me fix your hair and make-up a bit, that big mama did a number on them."
"Wait, I looked like a hott mess before coming here!?" Ally said alarmed.
"Ha ha, so you were not looking at yourself in the mirror this whole time?" laughed Tamara redoing Allyson's ponytail, "I mean that guy didn't seem to mind how messed up you looked, you have a good one."
"I was more worried about you," she said then whined, "I think my life is ov-er."
Tamara did a small laugh as she finished her hair.
Back at the bar Toma and I found a booth in a corner and waited for the girls.
"Nah, I don't think you didn't do anything wrong, don't beat yourself about it," said Toma after I told him how I felt.
"She wouldn't even look at me, Toma," I shot back, thinking it was a big deal.
"She might have been embarrassed, some women are like that when something like that happens," he said as he waved passed me; looks like the girls are back.
"Sorry we took so long," said Allyson as she was pulling on Toma's arm in a playful manner. It seem they went to freshen up, we should've done that too.
"It's alright," Toma said as he looks over to the dance floor, "Do you mind if we dance first?"
"Ooooh sounds fun!" Allyson squealed as she drags him to the dance floor.
"Have fun, you two," I thought to myself and then I heard my name in a soft voice.
"Itsuki, can I talk to you for a bit," Tamara said as I turned to her.
"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you too," I said.
"I..I wanted to thank you," she began, "Not just at the Cafe but at the arcade too."
"Oh, it's no problem," I answered, we both turned when we heard Allyson giggling. I looked back at Tamara to see a light smile looking on as our friends were dancing.
"Do you want to go out..." I began to ask.
"Oh goddess, no," she said quickly, " I suck at dancing; I might just fall on you or something."
I took a long drink out of one of the cups without looking, whip my mouth, and got up. Tamara looks up at me and I held out my hand, "I would not mind, I suck at dancing as well; lets catch each other if either of us falls."
She did a little laugh and grabs my hand; I jumped a little and my body felt very warm as she did. As we head to the dance floor, my whole body was beating; I could even hear my heart-beat. I could see Toma nodding his head our way warning Allyson who puts her hand over her mouth.
"Oh man, she is not going let this go for the next month or so," Tamara groan and I let out a laugh.
Toma and Allyson came closer to make us feel at ease at dancing, Tamara faced me and starts to swing her head side to side as her hair flows a second later after her swings. She grabs the side of her head with her eyes closed, and puts her hand on my shoulder. I followed her lead as all I could do was the side step which Toma let out a sound to mock me. I stare dead at him and he looks back at Allyson who gave him a pout.
"Stop that or I'll ignore you for the rest of the night," she warned Toma as he went for a fast hug, apologizing.
"Thank you, Miss Allyson," I said to myself. As we dance I thought of a fun little thing to do as I grab both of Tamara's arms and started to spin us around. She was quick to adept as she laughs at the childish dance, she holds my arms as we twirl ourselves around.
As we were spinning I was feeling muggy and slow down my pace, Tamara took notice and slows down with me.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, just feeling a little...dizz..zy," I told her as my body kind of collapsed on her; I felt her trying to hold me up. I felt her voice beating though muffed sound of my head. I felt another hand on my shoulder and I turn slowly to see a concerned Toma. "Ha ha that loookkk...on yourrr face...don't fit...,"
I turned back at Tamara who looked worried, "Pretty laaaady, don't...look at meeee...like thaaaat..." I said as I blacked out.
