Robert's P.O.V

It is my first day as CEO of my dad's company I started with the hotel chain Queens.

Queens operates two hotels in New York, one in Manhattan and the other is in Brooklyn.

Father branched out in other states like Chicago, Seattle and Miami and a lot more. We also have Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ronald Gregory Stevenson as many had known him, had established his own empire. He was known to be the richest billionaire in New York City.

He don't only own Queens but he also has Hylos Corporation. making me the richest bachelor as well.

Am proud to be my father's son. I wouldn't want him to be disappointed with me.

As we agreed, I will prove myself first in running the hotels and casino. And we will take it from there.

I am no stranger in the hotel HQ situated in the top floor of Queens Manhattan.

Everyone greets me as entered the office lobby.

Ruby my secretary, guided me to the conference room. "You're father is already inside with the Executive and Senior Managers. She said as she opened the door of the conference room.

Everyone stood up when I came in except for my Dad who was seating at the middle of the conference table. They reached out for my hand and shook them.

There is a vacant seat beside dad which I guess belongs to me."Good Morning ladies and gentlemen" I greeted before I took the privilege to seat before my Dad.

"Everyone please be seated." Dad said. He stood up and tapped my shoulder clearing his throat.

"As you all know, effective today my son here Robert will now be your CEO."He announced.

" I expect you all to give your outmost support like what you've given me."He added.

Everyone nodded with agreement. Mr. Harley Thompson Dad's friend and also one of the Executive Managers raised his wine glass and proposed a toast." To our new CEO" "Cheers! "

Each Manager introduced themselves and briefly oriented me about their functions.

I stood after the last manager give his introduction. "Thank you all for your warm welcome." I wish to immerse myself in each of your departments and have a feel of what Queens do each and everyday." I concluded.

The room turned into silence. They were all caught up to a surprise. Even my Dad turned his head to me. Maybe they didn't expect me to be that blunt.

Ms. Lesley Hopkins the Head of the Human Resources broke the silence." I will fix your immersion schedule Mr. Stevenson. You may start in my department tomorrow."

"That would be good Ms. Hopkins thank you."I replied.

Uncle Thompson grinned," Like father like son!" he mouthed. Then every one laughed. I then looked at my father smiling.

It is not a secret how hardworking my Dad is and up to know, he's still hands on to his companies. The reason why I joined the company this late. But I'm happy about it because I was able to fulfill my passion in music.

Dad called the meeting adjourned we both head to the CEO's office, now my office. We were followed by Ruby.

"Son am glad you are here already. It is now in your hands. I know you can do this!" my dad uttered giving me a hug.

"I'll do my best Dad" I answered back.

"Ruby will stay here to be your secretary, she can help you with the in and out of our operations she is very efficient."Dad uttered.

I nodded to him with agreement.

Dad bid his goodbye, He will go to Mom's office so they can have lunch together.

I went on with my work. Ruby gave me the files I need to study in my desk.

" Would you like to have a cup of coffee Sir? " she asked.

"Sure Ruby thank you, make it two sugar and one cream please." I replied.

Overwhelming, but I know I got this. I pulled the Human Resources files first since I will immerse with them tomorrow. Knowing the backbone of our company will help me understand more of how we operate the business.

My father had taught me well, treating each and every employee with outmost respect. I have no issues of having all his men to still work for me. Besides they've been here since Dad started this business.

Ruby came back my cup of coffee. She had been with the company for almost 10 years and she'd been great assistance with my Dad.

"Thanks Ruby.! would you mind helping me sort some of this files?"I ask courteously.

" Ofcourse" she gladly responded.

I hand her the files and gave some instructions of how I wanted it to be done.

"I will take it from here. Please let me know if there is anything you want me to do for you.

You can press this button if you need me and my office is just in the hall." She uttered while pointing in the calling apparatus.

"That's kind of you Ruby. Thank you. I guess am good for now. You may go." i instructed.

Roaming my eyes around my new office that seems new to me. Cathelyn's face flashed all of a sudden her image keep clouding my mind. I could still imagine her seductive eyes, her curvaceous body and her pink lips. She was sexy as hell.

I got back with my senses when I heard my phone rings It's from my mom. I stood and walked near my office window seeing the whole city view of New York.

" Hello,Mom.?"I answered.

" How's your first day son?" she inquired.

" I smiled and replied, "So far so good mom."

"Aren't you with Dad?"

"We had lunch earlier he just left to go to Hylos an hour ago."She said.

"Let's have dinner on Friday after office can you?" she asks.

"Ofcourse mom will be there." I swiftly, replied.

"See you then, don't work too much son."she chuckled.

It was already 6:30pm when I finished my work. I let Ruby leave before me.

I head straight to the hotel's parking lot and rode my range rover to my apartment.
