In the morning, I woke up and thought it was all just a dream. It made me question if I had wings or not. So I looked behind me and as soon as I turned my head I got a face full of feathers. The wings had grown and ripped through the fabric of my shirt. I turned my head back to the wall in front of me and said, “Shit, I have school today!” I got out of bed and dressed. The wings poked two holes just to fit through the shirt, but the holes were not that big. Then, my brother and I ate breakfast, packed our bags, brushed our teeth and went straight out the door to wait for the bus. When the bus arrived we got on. I found my friends Hailey Stemson, Jayne Carson, and Claire Carson and sat down. They are my three closest friends. Hailey asked about my wings and I told her what happened yesterday. When we arrived at school I went to my locker and put away my backpack and went to class. When I arrived to class I sat down in my seat which was right next my friends. The teacher came in to class and had started taking attendance. Then she came across me and she said coldly “We do not accept mutants so go to the office.” So,I started to head to the office like I was told but my friends started to come with me. The teacher allowed them to go because in her mind they were mutant lovers and apparently mutants and mutant lovers are not allowed in this school. When we reached the door, we went into the office. We went in and the principal expelled us just like the teacher thought he would do. As we came out of the school with our things from our lockers we thought it was a good idea to go to my house because it is closer. I was in the lead showing them the way. As we reached my home my mom was there and I told her that we are expelled. She was mad at the school but understood why we came home. She said to me privately while my friends were playing board games, “Hey, Olivia there is someone I want you to meet.” “Ok, who is it?” “I will show you.”
