PRESENT DAY: YOUNG BARD INN, ROYAL CITY OF FELITICIA, TVARYN

As the sun passes through the window to meet Kenichi's eyes, he slowly gets up. "Morning already?" He says, rubbing his eyes with his arm.

After his daily hygiene routine, Kenichi gets ready to leave his room. Before he does that, however, he looks through the window and towards the sky. Faint memories of his mother come to his mind, as he slaps both of his cheeks.

As he does that, he catches the attention of someone outside of the inn. "Good morning, Kenichi!" Bernardus waves from outside the inn's entrance. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah, I did." He smiles. "The bed was super comfortable, so I had a peaceful and comfortable night. What about you?"

"I also slept well, thanks for asking. Say, what about you come down and I'll show you around? Bring Machi as well."

"Sure thing!" Kenichi said, before leaving his room. Before he goes downstairs, he knocks on Machi's room's door. "Machi, are you up?"

No response. Maybe she was asleep? Kenichi gets closer to the door and starts hearing water running. "Oh? Is she taking a bath?" Some thoughts formed in Kenichi's mind, making him blush for a second. "What the hell am I thinking?! I'm going downstairs and I'll wait for her there!"

Inside the bathroom of her room, Machi was taking a shower. Brushing her hair slowly as the water ran down her body. "So good~!" She said, just before starting to hum a song. "Today's gonna be a good day, I can just feel it~!"

PRESENT DAY: ROYAL CITY OF FELITICIA, TVARYN

After some time, Machi leaves the inn, meeting Kenichi and Bernardus there. "You're here! Tarozaemon is doing some errands so I'll show you around." Bernardus said.

"Sorry for taking such a long time!" Machi smiles in her usual red kunoichi dress. "And yeah, that does sound like Taro. Always busy with something."

Kenichi chuckled. He still was in his school uniform, thinking of getting new clothes to blend in, but since he didn't have money, he didn't think much about it. "Where first, Bernardus?" As he says that, both his and Machi's stomachs growl, signaling lack of food on them.

They both blush as Bernardus laughs. "Apparently, I'll show you the Main District of Feliticia first. Come."

PRESENT DAY: ROYAL CASTLE OF FELITICIA, TVARYN

As Tarozaemon enters the throne room, he kneels before the queen. She smiles, happy to see a familiar face. "Tarozaemon, you're back."

"Unfortunately, not for the right reasons." He gets up and smiles, though that smile quickly fades into a serious expression. "I need to speak with you, Maldiva."

"Is this about the letter you mentioned in one of your correspondences?" She asks.

"Yes. It's from Akuma, supposedly."

She grips the right arm of her throne firmly before taking a quick deep breath to calm herself down. "What about it?"

"I know that this is a sensitive subject to you, since he killed your dau..." He interrupts himself. "Even if you chose to hide his existence to the public, I chose to share this information with you."

"Thank you, Taro. And yes, though Bella's fate was not the best, no one could be prepared for that monster. Even Kuvera had difficulties with him, barely surviving the fight."

"The captain of Feliticia's Order Knights, uh? Akuma's no joke..." He opens his letter. "Well, here it is."

"Can you read it to me, please?"

Tarozaemon nodded silently, before turning his light blue eyes to the paper. "Tarozaemon Kitagawa, as one of the oldest sons of the Kitagawa family, it came to my knowing that you possess something that I want: the Kitagawa Family Stone. How do I know this? Simply. I killed your entire family."

"Is this... true?"

"My parents never sent me a letter back, so possibly... Shina and Pae were with them since they are only kids..."

"Daemon left the family a long time ago, right?"

"Yeah, we both left the family residence when we were younger. Still, I haven't despaired. My parents, specially my father, are very smart people. I believe that they are alright somewhere."

"Let's pray that that's the case. But do you have the stone?"

Tarozaemon shows her his necklace. A silver string with a deep blue pyramidal gem hanging from it.

"So that's your family's stone, uh?"

"Yeah."

"Please continue with the letter."

He nodded. "I know you'll probably start searching for me as I'm searching for you, so let's get things interesting. You may have heard rumors or even legends about my unstoppable power, but there's only one way to stop me. The six elemental SOULs."

"Hmm? The SOULs? What about them?"

Tarozaemon continued to read. "Fire, Water, Lighting, Nature, Earth and Psychic. These six elements were concentrated on something and you can find one of these things in one of the Royal Cities. Before I forget, the one you're looking for is Akuma."

"Concentrated? Things? What does he mean by that?"

"My guess is that it's some sort of item, like the crown you wear, but now that I'm close to it... I don't feel like it is."

"Nor do I. A new crown is forged for every new king and queen, so I wouldn't guess it would be something that replaceable."

"True..." Tarozaemon starts to think, until his stomach growls.

"You didn't eat yet? That's so you..."

Tarozaemon laughs. "If you'd wish, I'd love to eat with you. This time, maybe talk about more mundane things."

She smiles. "I'd love that."

PRESENT DAY: MAIN DISTRICT, ROYAL CITY OF FELITICIA, TVARYN

As they arrived at the Main District, Kenichi and Machi were astonished. There were lots of buildings of different kinds and people running around from all ages. "Wow... It's so different... I always lived alone with Taro so this is so beautiful..." Machi says slowly, trying to take it all in.

"You can find anything in here! Clothing, furniture, stuff for hobbies and more importantly..." They arrive at an alley full of food stands. "... food!" Bernardus finishes, letting Kenichi and Machi drool from their mouths as they watched such an amazing spectacle.

"Oh, but I don't have any money!" Kenichi remembered, with so much despair in his voice.

"Don't worry about that. Your first meal here is on me, so you guys can just choose whatever!" Bernardus laughs.

"Bernardus!" Kenichi and Machi both exclaim, tears comically streaming down their eyes as they clung to Bernardus' arms.

As Kenichi looks around, he notices a bunch of weird food. "Go figure... I seriously don't know if I can even eat most of these... Oh, wait... Is that...?!"

In a certain spot of the alley, there was a ramen selling booth. Kenichi didn't even know why was a Japanese dish being served in an alien planet, but he dismissed it as just being something programmed into the game for the Japanese players.

Bernardus noticed him and smiled after getting his own eyes on the booth. "So ramen, uh? We could go for that. What do you think about it, Machi?"

"I never even heard of it, so yeah, let's try it!"

As they sat in some vacant chairs in front of the big booth, Kenichi noticed something. The noodles were exactly the same in his planet, but every vegetable was so different. "Well... If this was programmed by humans, it must taste good, right?"

As they were waiting, the two owners of the ramen booth approached the group. "Welcome to our humble ramen booth!" An explosive, friendly ashen-brown-haired, scarlet-eyed cat tvaryan approached them. "I'm Heyzkha and this is my sister Fryschkha!"

Her sister was a steel blue-haired, turquoise-eyed cat tvaryan. With a very calm tone on her voice, she spoke. "What would you wish for...?"

"We'll have three Jelska Ramen, please!" Bernardus said, paying them.

Fryschkha's eyes shone green as she used wind to cut the ingredients with pinpoint accuracy and transport them to a frying pan. As Heyzkha's eyes started to shine red, she used her fire powers to heat the pan from under it, solving the problem of not having a stove. While doing this, with her own hands, Heyzkha would stir the pan with efficiency. "Now!"

As she shouted that, Fryschkha used her wind powers to transport the vegetables to the top of the already made noodles and broth. "Here." She gives them their food.

"Thanks for the food!" The three said before digging in. As they sunk themselves in the pleasure of those perfectly made dishes, they all smiled after the first taste.

"So good!" Machi said, softly squishing her cheeks with her hands.

"The flavors are all really well mixed and no flavor is more prevalent than the other. What a perfect mix of flavors!" Bernardus said.

Kenichi was silent. It really tasted like Earth's food, but... quite better? It was really difficult to tell why, but maybe the quality of Tvaryan vegetables was way better than of Earth's. Either ways, he was loving what he was eating.

Heyzkha laughed as she saw her own and her sister's work being appreciated by more customers. Fryschkha was also happy, though not showing it as obviously as her younger sister.

As the group left, after saying goodbye to the Celerenyan sisters, they started going to wherever Bernardus was going to.

"Where are we going to now?" Machi finally asked him after some minutes of walking.

"The statue at the main plaza was renovated. They're gonna show it today, so I was thinking on showing you it!"

Machi turned to Kenichi. He had an anxious look on him. He remembered Tarozaemon mentioning that this kingdom's founder and his mother had the same name and that the statue of Tvaryn's Feliticia Sanada was in the Royal City. This was it. This was the only way Kenichi had to prove that they were either the same person or different people.

PRESENT DAY: XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX, TVARYN

A couple is going upwards through the paths of some mountain near the Royal City. "Oh, babe. This place is so quiet, it's so romantic~!" The girl said obnoxiously, clinging to her boyfriend's arm.

"Anything for you, babe~!" He said... Even more obnoxiously.

This mushy conversation would be interrupted by what could only be described as a beast's roar. The noise from the roar was so intense that the mountain shook.

The girl looked scared. "Babe, protect me! Babe?"

He was behind her, already running away, saluting her. "It's every man for themselves in this doggy dog world!"

"YOU BASTARD!" She screamed, but after hearing another roar, she started screaming loudly, running down the mountain.

PRESENT DAY: MAIN PLAZA, ROYAL CITY OF FELITICIA, TVARYN

As the group arrived at the main plaza, a crowd gathered around the still covered statue. "We're here." Bernardus said. "Looks like we're just in time though!" He pointed to a small stage near the statue where the Queen would appear, surrounded by guards.

A guard's eyes shone purple as he used his psychic SOUL to create a tube where the Queen would speak to, amplifying her voice, like a microphone would.

"Hello, my subjects." She began speaking. "It's good to see you all gathered here to witness the showing of the renovated statue of this city's strong and beautiful founder, Feliticia Sanada. The best sculptors and Earth SOUL users from this pristine city were put on this very honorable task, so I'm sure that this looks perfect. Without further ado, here's the renovated statue of Feliticia Sanada!"

As she signaled for the cover to be dropped, Kenichi's heart started beating strong and fast, his eyes closed without being able to withstand this uneasy feeling.

As the cover hit the ground, people started clapping. The only one not clapping, Kenichi, opened his eyes and his heart sunk into the depts of his soul.

Before Kenichi was a 5 meter tall statue of his mother in some kind of armor. A giant shield by her feet and in her right arm, she held a rapier upwards, left hand resting on the top of the shield.

As he saw that, a flash filled Kenichi's head with tremendous pain, making him fall to one of his knees. "Ghー!"

Machi noticed this. "Kenichi? Kenichi!"

Bernardus looked at Kenichi and got worried. "What's wrong?! Kenichi?! Kenichi!"

Kenichi's mind faded to black.
