“Thirty five, thirty six, thirty seven.”

With his legs wrapped around the top of his bedroom door, Yuuto did sit up after sit up.

“Thirty eight, thirty nine, forty.”

Doing sit ups while hanging from his door wasn’t a regular morning routine for him. But considering he didn’t know when practical magic training would begin he wanted to be in tiptop shape.

“Forty seven, forty eight, forty nine and fifty.”

Once Yuuto hit fifty he hung against the door for a moment before carefully unlatching his legs from the top. Even so his head hit the floor with a thud while the sweat from his back caused him to slide backward along the wooden floor.

“Ow. Three days of school and no actually magic training what a pain.”

He grumbled as he made his way to his feet. With a yawn he entered his room grabbed the hanger his school uniform was on and headed into the bathroom. Since he was doing morning exercises he hadn’t bothered to get dressed, only wearing a pair of boxers. It didn’t matter anyway since he slipped them off and turned on the shower.

“I thought school would be a lot more interesting.” He mumbled the words as he entered the shower.

All that’s been going on at school is introductions to different teacher and none of them seem like anything special. But it’s not like I’m an amazing judge when it comes to that kind of thing or anything. Hey, where’s the shampoo?

“Oh here it is.”

With a quick dab of shampoo Yuuto began lathering his hair while he thought about school. So far the most interesting thing that has happen was that guy in the hallway. There’s something odd about that one. Then there were those bullies who were messing with that one guy with the glasses.

Yuuto hands moved through his head just before he put his head under the shower. As he thought about the first day of school he finished his shower and toweled off. Brushing his teeth in the nude before realizing he hadn’t grabbed any underwear. Being the person he was he ran back into his room sliding along the floor nearly hitting his drawer.

“Safe.”

Pulling out a pair of underwear at random Yuuto put them on then return to the bathroom to get his school clothes. Afterwards he started making breakfast. In a manner of minutes he microwaved a couple pork buns and fired up some scrambled eggs took out some rice from his rice cooker and grabbed three slices of toast. He started digging in before taking a seat after a few minutes of chowing down he was done.

“Well that’s breakfast down the hatch. Better head out to school.”

Standing up from his chair Yuuto cleared the table and then went to get his school bag which was right in front of the front door with his shoes.

“Time to head to school.”

Now that Yuuto wasn’t in a rush to get to school he went down the stairs and greeted Mr. Daisuke.

“Good Morning.”

“Morning Yuuto. You heading off to school?”

“Yeah. But schools kinda boring right now.”

“Oh really. Why don’t you try making some friends?”

A cold wind blew through Mr. Daisuke’s brown hair when he said the words friends. Yuuto kept his head down in a manner that made it difficult for Mr. Daisuke to see his eyes.

“I’m not someone who makes friends. Plus I can’t remember the names of anyone in my class and…”

“Ok…ok. I get it. Just make your way to school. And try to make a least one friend.”

With that Yuuto made his leave. Friendship wasn’t his thing. Mr. Daisuke didn’t know the entire story but he knew enough not to prod him about it. Yuuto slung his school bag on across his shoulder and head off to school.
