Zhang Lin was brought back to light palace by Jin Mu as ordered by the emperor.

Jin Mu was surprised when the emperor commanded him to bring Zhang Lin back to light palace. Zhang Lin fainted for almost 3 hours, before he woke up. Actually, the beating wasn't that serious as he only got hits less than 5 times before he passed out. The shock he received during the banquet also contributed to the reason why he fainted. However, the beating still hurt a lot since the guard used quite a bit of strength when hitting him.

Waking up, Zhang Lin finds it hard to get up, especially his back hurts a lot.

There was a wet cloth on his forehead. Thank goodness he still has his entire robe on, which includes that ugly golden robe as it means that no one had yet to discover about the fact that he was a man.

"Maybe you're mistaken. If the emperor were to take an empress then there would have been a coronation for the empress."

"Oh, then who was the lady that sat with the emperor during the empress dowager birthday banquet? Beside I didn't even see the empress dowager show up on her birthday banquet."

"I'm not sure what you are saying, but based on your word, I think you might have mistaken the empress dowager for the empress."

"Ah? So, it was the empress dowager. No wonder, I didn't see her show up. She didn't look old at all. No wonder, I thought she was the empress." Zhang Lin then continued to ask, "Then do you know which palace the empress dowager resides in?"

"According to what I know, the empress dowager should reside in Fall palace that was designated for her."

Zhang Lin nodded his head as he said, "Then take me to Fall palace after I finish eating."

"It's my duty to serve you, however a low maid like me has never been to Fall palace before, therefore I don't know where it's located within the palace as there are certain places that are restricted within the palace."

"Oh." Zhang Lin replied, taking a bite on the congee. Since the maid didn't know where Fall palace is then he'll just ask the guards around. Maybe they would know.

After he finished eating his breakfast, Zhang Lin quickly drove Ju away with the excuse of wanting her to prepare some materials for him.

Ju didn't seem to find anything wrong, thus she quickly went out to fetch the materials that her lady requested for.

Seeing the maid went away, Zhang Lin also got up from his seat. He walks around planning to ask any guards that he came upon for guidance.

Zhang Lin had a light purple robe on at the moment. Walking around he came upon different guards and asked them for directions.

The guards were shocked upon hearing Zhang Lin called out to them with his soft voice. His face also stunned them as they have never seen anyone as beautiful as him.

With the help of the different guards, Zhang Lin finally reached Fall palace with some difficulty.
