As Kai and Jasper sit on the sofa watching the movie Jasper becomes lost in his thoughts.

[Sitting on the sofa with Kai watching this movie, it’s so boring who’s idea was it to watch this stupid thing? Oh yeah, that’s right, mine. It’s just nice to finally spend some time with Kai. Between classes and my extra curriculars I worry that she won’t make any friends.]

Her head slumped down onto his shoulder.

“Uh hey Kai?”

he looks down at her.

[Oh, she’s asleep. I should get her to bed then.]

He picked her up and carried her too his bed, as he looks at her looking so defenseless. Jasper covers her up and grabs a blanket.

(Sigh) “looks like I’m taking the sofa tonight.”

He stops at his bedroom doorway and looks at Kai lying on his bed. She looked peaceful there, wearing pants and a baggy long sleeved shirt, her hair in a ponytail for less maintenance.

Jasper walked over to her and kissed her on the forehead and got up to walk out, pausing at the doorway again.

“One day when you’re ready to date. That’s when I’ll confess, but not until you’ve reached your goals.”

Jasper had a soft look on his face as he walked out of the bedroom and fell asleep on the sofa.
