"Charles, it's been four months. I believe it's time to meet our mate in person. I say let's do it in a public setting" I said to my brother my human form.

"Really when can we do that because we don't really have clothes unless we rob somebody for some clothes?" He said while going through the refrigerator.

" I got an idea. I know a human that could help us out with some things because they owe me one" I said rubbing my beard and leaning against the counter.

" This person owes you something? Do I even want to know the story behind that? You know don't tell it's best to be left a mystery." He said while eating a few slices of ham.

"Don't eat all of the ham or she will notice and think that she's over eating or something crazy" I said, snatching the container from him and grabbing myself a slice then placing it back into the refrigerator.

"Oh really says the fat ass eating the same thing I'm eating right now," he said in a joking tone.

"I don't know who's the fat ass but I know I'm not haha" I said while making a motion towards my tone naked body.

" I don't know bro it kinda looks like you let yourself go" he said while placing his left hand under his chin as if he's really looking at me then he pinch me.

"I see you got jokes but no seriously how will we introduce ourselves to her?" I said looking around the kitchen, not really having any idea of how this introduction would go.

" I would like for both of us to meet her but that might overwhelm her if we both show interest but it could be an easy introduction besides she might even be able to tell us apart" he said on a serious note

" No she would be able to tell the difference but I think we should both meet her at the same time we could find out where she's going next without us so that raise suspicions about our wolves not being around her" I said hearing the front door unlock that caused our heads to snap towards the door and we shifted quickly before she saw us.

"Okay we can put more thought into it later now let's make sure she's okay." Charles said through the mind link while jogging towards her and I was right behind him.

We almost ran her over with our bodies. I started to smell something on her that didn't smell like us. It was faint but it was there.

"Bro why does she smell like our ex beta Rolan?" I said feeling myself getting pissed because he was near her and we weren't there to protect her.

"I don't know why Rolan was near her but she seems okay and unscathed" he said rubbing his head against her body.

She was taking off her jacket. I really like this dress on her because it didn't show the curve of her ass. She was sighing and walked off upstairs. I wonder how that movie went for her. Me and my brother were waiting by the bed for her to come out of the bathroom. She comes out and goes straight to the bed as she gets in. We got onto the bed and started rubbing ourselves onto her so scent can cling to her body. After I was finished I went to sleep.

Charles Pathway

It was my turn to patrol the house because now that Rolan was near our mate. We may have to speed up the mating process. I got out of bed quickly but did not wake her up and I went downstairs. I shifted back to my human form and checked the house to make sure that everything was locked and secured.I felt the hairs on my neck stand and my wolf was on high alert. I closed my eyes to catch the scent that lingered into the house from the upstairs bathroom window.

It smelt like something was rotting away and bad fragrance.Someone is getting too close for comfort but then as I continue to sniff out the scent it smelt like our ex pack original scent but why does it smell rotten and why are they trying to cover it. Whatever plan it is they better forget about that plan that they have because they won't like the outcome of it especially if it involves our mate. Closing the window because the scent was strong but I couldn't see anyone outside meaning they left. Walking out of the bathroom I checked on the others really quick before checking the whole house again.

I didn't see anything out of the normal. It was quiet but not too quiet that made you question about what's going on.I went to the kitchen and grabbed another slice of ham. My mind kept going back to what Rolan had done to us. Convincing the pack that me and my brother were bad people then he challenged us to fight to the death but he started to lose so the pack went to his side and fought against us.

I couldn't fight the innocent people like that and treat them like rabid rouges. So I almost lost my life because I was too soft towards them. I'm thankful for our mate but I wish we met on different terms. I was sitting in the living-room all the curtains were closed so no one could see inside the house.As I was munching on the ham I felt myself getting tired and noticed on the clock that it was getting late into the night well going off into morning.

I shifted back and did another sweep of the downstairs house then I headed back upstairs doing the final sweep of the house. Going to her room I see that my brother had woken up before I could wake him up so he could do his patrol of the house while I get some kind of sleep.

"Stop eating all the fucking ham fat ass" he said through the link while getting up from the bed.

I got into the bed and told him what happened during my patrol so he could know what's going on. I moved my body close to her as if I'm placing myself onto her but I'm not. She looked cold and I was warm.

"Nen you smell like ham"she mumbled while she was still asleep. She moved closer to me and all I heard was light snoring that made me even more tired so I just closed my eyes and went to sleep.
