Jessie takes a deep breath and goes down into the darkness, completely unknowing what would await her. The stairs were split into 2, regular stars and next it was a slope. Similar to ones for wheelchair users but this was way too steep for that. Near the entrance, there was rusty gurney with old and worn leather straps. Jessie could only imagine who would have to be strapped to that and taken to the darkness. With her light guiding her to the dark abyss, Jessie takes each step carefully. Not wanting to fall down the stairs to wherever it will take her, she still can't see the bottom. Walking down she does look around at the walls, dusty but still in good condition. The walls have a white plastic look but lost it's shine long ago. The air was musty and remembering she still had her respirator, she puts it back on just in case. Jessie thinks to herself she's probably the first person to tread these stairs in a very long time. Now the "Devil" will have a new guest to keep it company, Jessie thought to herself.
Though now being alone in the dark, and so quiet now that she can't hear the ranting of her assailant was oddly relaxing. Able to now easy her nerves as there was no danger, for now. Thinking about it, Jessie wondered who that guy was talking to in that room. It seemed like it was the same guy who was chasing her the entire time, but he was talking to another person. Couldn't have been on his phone, even with the speaker on. Maybe he stayed back cause he was the "brains" and one to give chase was the "brawns." What it was, Jessie just glad it was only the one guy and she wasn't getting killed or worse.
After a few minutes, she reaches the bottom. down here, another door greeted her. This was a dirty double door similar to a lab entrance. Entering into it, she finds herself in a reception room. This one was a lot smaller than the one up top, and shaped like an L. It only had desk area and nowhere else for people to wait in. Going to the desk, it was devoid of anything interesting other than the broken computer. But behind it was a door, entering it she goes into a super cramped office. While it seemed like all personal belongings would be gone, there were a few notes left being. She looked at the calendar, a decade out of date but every day was marked with something important.
Though Jessie didn't understand what they mean, and most of the other notes about staff meetings and schedules, but scrounging around she finds something unusual. It appeared to be a log of people that were sent down here, with what their conditions were in both physical and mental(and most of them were in impoverished status), and current status. While by now they would be all dead at this point, some were label dead, "well," but the last one was weird. some were label "converted." Jessie scratched her head on this, and this place was not one of religious practice. This might have something to do with those experimentation rumors Jessie assumes, but what would "converted" mean? With nothing else to help she walks out and back into the hallway.
Around the bend, is another door like the one that's on the other end of the hallway. Entering leads into a room that seemed to be some sort of computer lab, plenty of lab tables with computers and other science like equipment. But these seem newer than the ones used upstairs but still old to today's standards. A couple of notes lie around, Jessie picks them up but all of them were of science lingo way above Jessie's head. There was one she could understand but barely. It was a folder label DoberMAN, and it contained pictures. But most of them were such crappy quality she could barely tell what they were. The few she could make out seemed like some were taken during some sort of surgery, and the last one was what she could kinda make out of a large dog of some sort.
"Ok, cool but also really fucking creepy." Jessie muttered to herself confused. She puts the odd folder back down.
With nothing else in the room, she goes to the next door which leads to a large and mostly empty room. The way the walls were made were much different from the rest of this secret lab. It was made of bathroom tiles or at least that what Jessie thought. In the corners were piles of gurneys like the on up at the top of the staircase. But in the middle lie a single metal table for surgery and large light fixture that hung from the ceiling. Jessie easily knew this was some sort of twisted surgery room. But why to build a lab bellow a hospital with its own surgery room, Jessie wondered to herself. But her answer lies in the next room.
The door leads a large room that contained several large tubes lined up around the walls. Each of these tubes used to be clear but years of no one keeping maintenance had them dusty and grimy. The water inside was cloudy and murky, making it hard to see what was being kept in them. Jessie walking up to one, shines her light through. Barely being able to see inside it, She makes out the skeletal remains of something. She didn't know what it was but it didn't seem human. Or completely human that is. She could make out the bones of a human arm, but another limb that was inside ended with sharp talons like one found on a dinosaur.
The next few containers contained the same remains of skeletons to some sort of strange creatures. But the last one was different. Its occupant wasn't bones, still had flesh but looked like it has rotted away. It looked kinda like a Doberman type dog but much larger. Jessie was glad that it was dead, didn't know which would have been worse. A giant dog or some drug dealers to chase her. Though looking around some more, nothing that would indicate an exit down here. But there was one more room to go to. It was the generator room.
Jessie enters it, and in the center was a large rusty generator. Going up to it and seeing the control panel for the machine, she messes with a few buttons wondering if maybe she can bring back power. Though she doubted that would work, this place has been forgotten for decades, no way it can come back to life. But messing with more button seemed to cause some stirring.
RNNNNGGGGGG.
Sounds stir and then lights started to turn back on all around her. It startled Jessie that she was able to turn the power back on. Amazed, Jessie heads back into the room with all the containers as there was nowhere else down here for her to explore. She turns her flashlight off as every room was now lit, though it wasn't as bright as it should be and gave off a dim glow. But bright enough to easily see around her. About to make it out of the door, she hears a banged sound. This banging was not from machinery, it was the sound of something try to break free out of containment.
coming from one of the containers, the one with the "corpse." It makes more banging sounds and getting more aggressive with the glass starting to crack, Jessie backs up and is ready to run. The glass breaks and the dank disgusting fluid spills into the floor in a flood that smells like death. But what stepped out was worse. The beast that was entombed was a little bigger than Jessie, but it was hunched over so it was much bigger if it stood up. It looked like a bizarre blend of man, reptile, and hound, definitely no creature god would have made. the abominations legs looked like that of a dinosaur with long clawed talons on its large feet, sharp enough to rend flesh. Its body was like that of a deformed man but had three arms, two on the left and one of the right. The right arm was larger and ended with a disfigured hand with sharp talons on its fingers, the other arms were more portioned and human-like. But it's the last arm above its human counterpart ended with a sything hook similar to that of a praying mantis. Its head was a doberman dog head, but with 3 glowing yellow reptilian eyes. the creature's skin had matted fur and tons of scars and wounds scattered, with wires and cables running throughout. Disturbingly, it's dick was hanging out and longer than any regular man's member.
The beast snarled and twitched around and set its many eyes on Jessie. The beast let out a terrible howl, which sounded like a person screaming in agony and a dog aggressive howling, and charges at Jessie with its arms open. Jessie books it out and runs back to the secret lab's entrance, with the monster hot on her heels. She runs to the top of the stairs but the monster has not let up, if not faster than the thug from before. Almost reaching to the top, there was that old gurney up there that she could use to knock the monster down. Reaching it she grabs it, barely having any time as the beast lunges at her at high speeds, she pushes it down and it crashes into the monster. Sending both of them to the bottom of the stairs, the monster screaming in anger and pain as it falls into the abyss. and Jessie gets to the door and is back into the hospital.
Slamming the door behind her, it makes a clicking noise. Locking itself and trapping the devil back into it's home.
