In the year 2000 earth became a wasteland. Everywhere had the smell of death. With the cause of radiation oozing from the never ending launches of Nuclear warheads during the Cold War. Agriculture became unreliable once the earth's water supply became toxic to grow vegetation. Worst of all, humanity is estimated to contain no more than 100,000 in the entire world. This extraordinary phenomenon at the time was shocking for everyone. The human reproductive organ for both genders could no longer produce children. When the entire world collaborated by sending in their researchers and technology to lower the radiation levels. It was too late to reverse the damage. Radiation levels were off the charts constantly rising. Fortunately newborns did not become affected by the radiation, although the unable ability to reproduce is unclear if it also carried on over.

Entry data log — 01, Professor Everestfield

It is the year 2001, human population is now 80,000. Facility domes were made to prevent radiation from spreading inside. With the baby’s available, scientists made incubators that would halt their growth rate temporarily to prevent them from growing. As there were only 25,000 babies. Scientists would then inject a liquid inside the incubator. This liquid was to be food for the baby’s as they slumber. Scientists and researchers inputted all the knowledge and history into computers. In hopes for the children to use in the future.

Entry data log — 03,Professor Everestfield

Population 70,500. It is the year 2003 scientists have finally created a top graded automated self-learning simulation for the children. This would allow children to theoretically become intelligent at an early age.

Entry data log — 37,Professor Everestfield

Population is now 55,067. It is the year 2037. With food shortage problems. The rations given were not enough to sustain an adult. Riots broke out, when people began fighting others for their share rations.

Entry data log — 192, Doctor Pontigrain

Population is now 25,879. It is the year 2192. Completion of artificial intelligence created to aid the babies. Thankfully the artificial intelligence project was in effect since data log 67. Food shortages were not an issue, due to the low numbers. Fortunately technology from the incubation, to halt down the growth rate also carried over for the remaining adults to carry on the work before passing on. Entry data log — 300

Notice: Due to my human creators, untimely demise. I, AI shall fill in the recordings of the events on a yearly report as instructed.

Population 25,000, year 2300. With the remaining adults gone the children in the incubation were left in the care of the now AI facility. 5,000 were carefully released to the now desolate world which now became filled with grass. The awakened children were divided into groups for specific tasks. Research, Analysis, Recording, Building, and Production, although it is inhumane given the condition that they were children they worked diligently without complaints.

Population 15,247, year 2500. 5000 children were selected every 200 years. The now adult children have decided to research genetically modifying some newborns still in incubation to survive in the wasteland. Sadly they did not survive once they set foot outside the tall grasses. Reasons unknown, traces of the children’s last where about data could not be recorded.

Population 5000, year 2750. With the remaining amount of children still in incubation. Only 2500 were selected this time. This generation decided that there was not much they could do as supplies were infinite. So they did not do anything productive to help the next generation.

Entry data log — 800

Population 2500, year 2800. The generation before died due to lack of food. AI decided that it would be best to produce nonperishable foods before releasing the next set of children.

Entry data log — 900

Population 500, year 2900. AI facility released the remaining 500 children to produce energy productions to prevent facility shutdown. Sadly the mechanism to slow down the aging process no longer worked as it burnt out, and became irreparable. Technology unable to be reproduced, due to loss of blueprint data.

Population 0, year 3000. The AI facility became no longer operable. AI shut down after energy production can no longer be self-maintained. Mother Nature broke down the facility. Destroying all the remains of humanity. The thousand-year efforts for humanity were in vain.
