Observing around, there are some crates with steel mechanisms, some looking of that made by my people, and a chalk board with equations and geometry at Alta’s left.
Alta steps to the board and spouts, “Why doesn’t the arcane stick with the moon?”.
Walking up, Alta bolt its eyes to me, it asks with dismay, “Ugh, what are you doing here now?”.
I ask, “What are you doing, and where did you get those Onen technology?”.
Alta look at the equipment then back at me, then said, “Well, everyone saw it, we are trying to turn the moon to a conduit so it can blast energy to those strange, flying constructs.”.
I shudder with timidness, asking, “C… constructs? Like flying metal objects?”.
Alta infirm, “Yes. Have you seen them?”.
I answer, “Yes, one in fact, in the morning, I think.”.
Alta said, “Those Onen… never mind.”.
I said, “I don’t think its Onen made.”.
Alta was silent as it went back to the telescope and look pointing at the moon.
Checking the chalk board, I see the use of gravity equations and the variables such as for gravity at 8.9, Force equal to the gravitational constant of 5.3392 multiplied by 0.00000000001 at the dio cubed times mass one and mass two finally divide by the radius squared of the object. Descensions, and measurements of the moon.
I ask, “Are you trying to adjust the arcane to resolve around the low gravitational pull of the moon?”.
Alta said, “Y… yes. Do you understand all this?”.
I confirm, “Yeah… I actually already told you, but you laughed at me.”.
Alta said, “Well then, what is the problem then?”.
Looking at the data, it should be correct, I didn’t know what that arcane was exactly, but the math seems to fit, it almost as if there is something missing.
I said, “It should have worked, it should just have remained on the moon. The spheroid doesn’t have an atmosphere so maybe it needs gas?”.
Alta said, “Rit, not a lot of arcane are effected by atmospheric pressure. Usually brownish ones are the ones that are effect due to their densities.”.
Tapping my chin with my left pointing finger, I said, “Maybe we got to look for something to discover. Its hypothesized that the moon may be floating due to white arcane, and maybe that arcane is influencing the moon.”.
Alta said, “We have observed with blue arcane and never detected arcane.”.
I spout in shock, “Really?”.
Alta said, “Yes. It so strange how it just, resolve around the world, and how the world resolve around the hot sun. All I know is that those objects are beyond the sky and are in the void of reality, and we can just see them due to their intense luminosity”.
Looking at the equipment, I said, “All this speculative talk is nice, but I must ask, where have you gotten this Onen technology?”.
Alta reply, “Huh, well, I was thinking about it and… there is an Onen I know, they aren’t as rude as the others, or how you treated me. We have been secretly trading equipment and arcane technologies for our scientific studies. If you claim what you want to be, maybe they can help you.”.
I am getting so thrilled of the possibility of getting back to Onen civilization.
Alta continues, “I got to meet them tomorrow to see if they got the herbs from the plants. You can come with us and they could maybe help you.”.
I ask, “Why have you change your mind on my claim?”.
Alta reply, “Well, the evidence is piling up and maybe you might be right, but it’s also that I will need help carrying those herbs back.”.
Uttering in disappointment, “Oh, I see.”.
Alta said, “Hey, I got Moi coming with us as well tomorrow, just please be nice. I’m being very generous bringing you along just for maybe the chance of return back.”.
I said, “I understand, I guess I shouldn’t expect this to be free.”.
Alta said, “Well, I will be discussing to the arcanists at the woods, I would go take a great sleep for the little journey tomorrow.”.
I said, “Can I come with you?”.
Alta look with skeptism, he said, “No, I wouldn’t want you giving this away to the Onens.”.
I utter, “Fine, I guess I’ll see you in the next morning.”.
Alta said, “Good night, Rit.”.
I turn around and spoke, “Good night.”
Walking back, I head back to the huts. Looking around, I couldn’t find anywhere to sleep, and no sign of a hotel, I go to a tree truck and sit on it with my back facing it, closing my eyes and drift to slumber.
In the awaking morning, I wanted to stretch as that is common for me to do at this timing, but considering this fowl body, I wasn’t sure how.
There was a Yinks eating fruits in the morning for breakfast, I took a fruit and just ate it casually. All I am determined to do is get back home and fix this.
Sitting at where I was sleeping, I start drawing some theoretical equations on the dirt to see why the moon is possibility distorting the arcane. It just all doesn’t make any sense, even including the white anupls arcane into the equation, it just doesn’t add up.
Alta came up to me with the gear that he wore when we first met and spout, “Whoa, that is a lot of numbers.”.
I look up onto them, then back to the ground to see that I have made mark a lot in the dirt, about 2.5 dios by 2.2 loes.
I said, “Huh… yeah I did. It’s just that stupid moon. I don’t understand why its influencing the arcane like that.”.
Alta said, “Well, we should be get going, the Onen is waiting for us and it’s about a five hour walk.”.
I said, “Wait, I want to put this on paper.”.
Alta said, “I did all this, the only thing here is the white arcane, but that is clearly wrong as that isn’t what happened last night.”.
I signed in frustration, then utter, “Fine.”.
Alta comment, “Well I don’t admire your rudeness, I do like your scientific work, maybe we can work together, if you promise to, put away your…”.
I stop them, “Let’s just go.”.
Alta look the other way, then said, “Alright.”.
Moi fly over from the trees at the direction the experiment was with a shoulder bag, they land and greet, “Hello, Alta.”.
Alta greet, “Hello.”.
I greet, “Hi.”.
Moi ask, “Well, are we going to be get going?”.
Alta said, “Yes, let’s go.”.
I follow Alta as we head out north towards where this Onen supposed to be. It is a little nervous considering I’m going the opposite direction of my home city, but this may be my only chance to set things right again.
Walking through the smooth, dense woods with hills of dirt and rock, I got really bored as all I can think about was arcane thermodynamics.
Moi sings in chirps throughout the journey, Alta looked at a map with a pen at its hand.
As we enter a flatscape of taller trees and short grass, we meet a stone road, going from west to east.
Alta said, “Ah, we are getting close.”.
It looks at me and said, “We are just more than half way from here.”.
I said, “Good, because walking in the wretched woods butt naked isn’t my ideal way to spend my time.”.
Moi spoke with an atonement of disgust, “Wretched?”.
They came up to my face, looking down, they infirm, “They are the beautiful plantation of the worldly earth. Grown and breeded and we come from them, grown and breeded until the ends of the times.”.
I defend myself ideal, “This is wild, its…”.
Alta interrupts, “Please you two.”.
They sign, then Alta added, “Let’s just head east and get this over with.”.
I kept my mouth shut as I didn’t want to reduce any chances of resolving this problem. Moi turn their head around rightward and gave a dismissive hum.
I would love for the guards to keep this brat in lock and keys, maybe poking it with a stick from the wild trees they so believe to be worth a momentous praise.
We continue walking east but at the right edge of the road. It was most likely to avoid the Onen, but I really wish to speak to one.
Continuing down, yawing to a left, from the right side of a tree, I soon witness with the two on the road an injured Onen with short yellow hair wearing red and white ropes, laying on the road, behind them is a wagon with its left wheel broken, the animal moving it is nowhere to be found.
With the urge to take care of a harmed Onen, I hop up. Looking back, I see Alta in both shock and displeased.
As I get to the road, Moi question, “Wait, what are they doing?”.
Alta shout, “Rit, come here!”.
Getting close to the them, they are breathing, but eyes shut.
I nudge there head a little and said, “Are you okay? I know this is not ideal at the moment but I am here to help. It’s me, Rit”.
They open their eyes and look at me, they ask in a nasally voice, “Are… you… going to… eat me?”.
I spite in disagreement, “No! I am not a cannibal, I would never humiliate our people in such act.”.
They look around, then remark, “I have gone insane.”.
Alta and Moi came up, Alta spoke out, “Rit, this is pointless. Who knows what came here, for all we know, they may be still lurking around.”.
I reason, “But they are hurt, they need recovering.”.
The Onen request, “Just let me die, you role playing Yink freak.”.
I mutter, “Role playing?”.
Then a deep, oppressive, yet high tone voice demand, “Hands up.”.
Moi rise their hands up, but Alta didn’t.
I demand of them, “Show yourself, are you the one that inflict harm onto this citizen?”.
Alta double face palm, then from the north side of the road came a bluish, greyish skinned Pok, holding a tan bag with their right arm and a sling with their left hand. They are wearing a belt with pouches and a backpack with a dark shade of brown.
As Alta took their hands of their face, the Pok ask, “Alta, nice meeting you here. Who is royalty speaking Yink?”.
Moi ask, “You know them, Alta?”.
Alta said, “Yes, Trake, they are my best friend.”.
As Trake gets closer, waving left and right, I spoke, “Are you the one that harm them?”.
Trake had a smirk on their face, I didn’t like its snobbish attitude, they reply, “Maybe, my royalty.”.
I spoke, “Hey, you are not a Onen.”.
Alta said, “Trake, please, I need to meet with Yogmor. This Yink thinks that they are part of the Onen royal family. Please don’t feed to their delusion.”.
Trake starts to circle around the wagon, saying, “Aw, maybe they are just identify with the Onen, Alta.”.
Looking at me, they continue, “I have meant with people with problems, Alta. They are just misunderstood. We shouldn’t be so quick to just dismiss someone because they say something not so average.”.
Alta comment, “Trake, sometimes you are too open minded, but this one thinks that they were a Onen that just somehow change to a Yink.”.
I said, “Yes, that is correct.”.
The Onen utter, “Oh, these are the end times, mother, I require your aid.”.
Trake said, “Oh the poor thing, what will you do my king?”.
I shout, “Stop mocking me!”.
Trake said, “You know Alta, I could find that believable.”.
Alta ask with the heavy amount of disbelief, “Really? How? Did you see the test results too?”.
Trake said, “No, but considering the stuff that I have seen recently, species changing victims doesn’t seem to off the mark.”.
Alta said, “I have seen and heard strange stuff Trake, but again I think you are just being too open minded.”.
Alta took steps towards east and observe, then said, “Look, I’m bringing them along because I need extra hands for Yogmor’s trade.”.
Trake said, “Can I come along? I don’t have much to do and I already mug this crook.”.
I utter, “How dare you.”.
Alta spite, “Oh… yes, just don’t trigger this king… nah…”.
Trake said, “Ha.”.
The wind got stronger, but it feels, violent, what frightening is how sudden it was.
Moi said, “Maybe we should get going, I think a storm is coming.”.
I ask, “What about the citizen?”.
Alta said, “Just leave them, if they regain their energy, they will attack us.”.
Sadden, I know they were right, if the citizen gets up, they would at best run away and at worst, strike at me. As much as I hate to admit, I need to stay away from my people in order solve this problem.
We group up and head east at the north side of the road, looking back at the Onen, I whisper out, “My apologizes, citizen.”.
As I continue walking with them, Trake came to my left side and ask, “Hey, don’t look so mad, lighten up, it’s the fresh air, the woods are… okay they are silent, which is eerie, but maybe you can tell me more about your… king business.”.
There was something about them that was… comforting, considering that this one was the only one that have some positivity of my claim, I spoke, “Well I don’t like the wilds, but I am the daughter of the current king, I was chasing a thief down an alleyway and enter this dark chamber with blue high lights. I fell to a room with a pool, then I fell asleep, then woke up, with like… pipes all around me, sharp objects…”.
Trake shivers, stating, “That sounds awful.”.
I said, “It was awful.”.
Trake said, “Continue.”
I did just that, “then my inside acid and waste were cleaned out, all while I was suspended in the air.”.
Trake mutter, “Okay.”.
Alta whisper, “Unbelievable.”.
I said, “Then I black out again, then roll down a cliff and wake up in the woods like this.”.
Trake said, “Interestingly, what fascinate me is the description of the chamber.”
I spoke, “Dark with blue high lights?”.
Trake said, “Yeah, when we reach the lake, left from where we are walking, we are going to see something familiar.”.
Alta ask, “What are you saying?”.
Trake reply, “We will see, Alta.”.
As we walk north, we reach the shores of a large lake at the west side of us, but the waters are lower then the supposed shore line, as the sunken dirt was wet not to long ago, with underwater plant life laying on the brown lake floor in the fresh air. At the middle of the lake is a black towering metal object, with the blue high lights much like that found in the chamber and the flying vehicle I saw yesterday. It is as if the lake was partially drained.
Moi gasped.
Alta spoke with disbelief, “What in the… woods?”.
Trake ask, “Does that look familiar… Rit?”.
I gave with a heart pounding line filled with awe and fear, “Yes.”.
