The gods gave two gifts to humanity.

Similar to when Man was gifted fire, these two presents changed the way the world worked.

The first gift was divine energy.

A new source of power that dwarfed nuclear energy. The purpose of this offering was to allow humanity to stop relying on fossil fuels and nuclear energy. With this, pollution was reduced by tremendous amounts and global warming was stopped. Although, the gods mentioned that even they had to make a huge effort to reverse the damage done to the planet. Not only because of the war but also because of the horrendous pollution output throughout the years.

The second gift was the God’s Pact.

Since weaponry was abolished, the gods found a new way to resolve conflicts between humans.

The God’s Pact is a contract formed between a human and a particular god. This contract gives the human a portion of the god’s power, allowing a person to tap into the divine energy of a divine being.

A person who possesses a God’s Pact is called a Contracter. Depending on the level of connection between a god and his Contractor, the power that can be used by the human can reach astonishing levels. A Contractor may possess only one God’s Pact.

Therefore, in case of conflicts between individuals or countries, the easiest way to resolve the issue was through a duel, involving Contractors.
