Cough cough cough*
I don't know how long I have been in the bed. That fight with the wolf man did a number on me.
I was knocked out of subconsciousness after the fight, while my ink clones just dragged me back to the tree.
Next thing I woke up bandaged and unable to move.
Mind you I believe I could still move around even with this amount of bandages covering me. Although I felt as though if I moved I might open up a wound again.
I didn’t notice it at the time, but the wolf man gave me deep cuts from his attacks. Not only did I not notice, but my adrenaline kicked in at the very last moments. The final flurry of strikes I did wouldn't have been possible otherwise.
Luckily my clones have been making soup for me. I don't know if my jaws had the strength to chew any type of hard food.
I want to move, but my body is just that damaged.
One of the clones brought me soup.
Spoon feeding me, I took my time consuming the soup. It was sort of tasty.
Wonder what the ink clones have been feeding me though…
A few seconds had passed…
Uwah~, I'm so bored, I want to do something already.
Whatever...I’ll just… go to sleep…
Taking over one of the clones, I head out to gather supplies.
Oh yea...forgot I could do that...hehe, I sigh.
Looking at the environment, it would seem that the day of summer has begun here.
From the far distance it would seem that the environment has become surrounded by sand. Skulls of dead creatures can be seen from time to time.
Damn it, the ray of the sun is boiling hot, and I have only been outside for a short while.
I drew a long scarf and wrapped them tightly against my face. This heat is bad for my nasal cavity. It would not benefit me if I couldn't breathe because of the excruciating heat.
I should be safe from the inside. The clones were smart enough to store mini ice chunks in the tree base. It would seem that environments can be manipulated in a way.
Ink clones are convenient. Very convenient. I can confidently assure that.
Wait, I forgot I need to protect my eyes as well. My eyes are so dry…On second thought why don't I prepare for the environment, or I will be sorry later.
Drawing protective gears for my entire body I am now sure that I can head out in the hot summer.
However, as soon as I attempted to move I wouldn't budge…the gear was too heavy.
Okay maybe I went overboard.
Getting rid of my entire gear except for my scarf and goggles I actually set out. I seem to prefer to move in light clothing somewhat anyways.
Taking the first steps into the dry land. I noted the environment, as well as the creatures that are in the vicinity.
Observing from afar, the inhabitants seem to be different creatures from the previous environments available. I have only encountered the wolf creature so far in the winter...
If I can guess, most of the creatures that are currently out and about, seem to have the upper hand in their respective environment. I can also assume that they must have countermeasures against different creatures, should the environment changed into are not in their favor.
Looking at the creatures in the area, they seem to be more insectoid like. Although it seems scorpion and dragon types are another exception to factor in.
Speaking of which, why are there so many dragon type creatures. Almost all the features I encounter contain scales, or somewhat similar prowess as that of a dragon.
Hm. Need to look into that later when given the opportunity.
Now that I think about it, there isn't much to do in the trials, other than to survive as long as I can until the timers up.
Guess I will let this ink clone do whatever he likes, I need to check on the food supplies for my actual body.
Returning to my actual body I turn my head around.
Uwah~ is that...I want to vomit... my ink clones, they are using the carcass of the wolf for meat…
One of the ink clones noticed I was staring, and blocked my vision with their body. I can clearly see the half eaten wolf body contained into an ice cube, no point in hiding it now…
How did they even freeze the wolf to begin with? Oh right, the ice chunks…
Well at least they properly fed me for the past few days I was knocked out at least.
As my body is severely damaged. I ordered all the ink clones via our linked minds, to hunt for meat.
It took a while, but as soon as I gave the order they all scattered, except one.
I am guessing, they were afraid of my demise, so they prioritized on healthing me back up.
That reminds me, what if I were to die while my clones lived? Would they cease to exist? Or would they persist on assuming my identity? Unknowingly, assuming they are the real one...
That's a funny thought.
I think the best course of action right now is to just let my body do the rest of the work by sleeping.
Waking up again, I notice that my body is no longer in pain.
I can move again!
Sprouting up, I feel energetic as ever.
Looking at the tree base, I seem to be here by myself. Where did my ink clones go?
Drawing the scarf and goggles to wear, I head out into the scorching heat.
When I stepped out, I could see a massive leakage of ink cells. They were dispersing like crazy, almost going in every direction.
Following the trail presumed to be the location of the source. I stumbled upon my ink clones duking it out with a humongous scorpion warrior. Almost all of them got wiped out. I don't remember creating so many clones? Did they do it themselves? That is interesting in a way.
With the remaining few, I rush to their aid. Striking the fiend to its head by surprise.
Although I pierced through the neck area, it reacted by lunging its poisonous tail at me.
My ink clones slashed off parts of its legs to prevent the tail from stinging me.
Nice work my clones!
Getting into the fighting, I decided to cut off the tail. Then I forcefully shoved its cut off tail right through the top of its skull.
Although I see a bit of oozing liquid seeping out from the middle end, the important factor is that the toxic acid was contained through the tip of the tail.
With the tip of the tail being so lethal, it burrowed a hole wide open through the scorpion warriors head.
Even the user's own attack can be used against them. Ha!
Looking back at the ink clones, I notice that they were all staring at me. What? Was there something on my face? Wait now that I think about it, when was the last time I looked myself into the mirror.
Drawing a mirror, I quickly took a look at my own appearance.
“Oh my god!” Looking at the mirror of my reflection. I can see that I have grown!
What in the hell happened during my sleep?
How long has it been? How old am I now?
A clone came to me and gave me a note.
Reading what the clone gave me, I seem to have slept for...that cant be right…
“Eight Years!!!!!” I have been asleep for eight years? That means that I am currently twenty five years old! Right?
How long must this trial go on for? Looking at the pendant, I open the locket containing the time. It appears I have a long way to go... This can't be right, by that time I might be dead before then...
It was then when I realized my current dilemma. This trial would last for another ninety two years...
