I’m so tired.
The whole day I couldn’t stop thinking about what I saw and what Casey said. I already know I don’t have feelings so I am not affected by what happened but it could help me convince my dad. I had already made up my mind, I am sorry for her but for once I already know what I want. I want to have my own path. Yeah, I will tell my dad.
“ Please keep this hidden.”
I froze for a minute. I know she told me that but I can’t. I just have to keep walking.
“ It’s fine if you want to keep coming.”
Yeah, she was nice to me and never made me feel unwelcome but I have to do this. Just a bit more.
“You have to find someone who you want to laugh about dump stuff with.”
Come on,Lily. It’s just a phrase. Anyone can say that phrase. Just keep walking, just raise your hand and knock.
“So are you going to communicate with the person or jump to conclusions?”
I froze. I couldn’t knock. Letting out a sigh, I could only think that I hadn’t remembered that quote in a while. My mom always used to tell me the quote when I fought with Emma.
“Lily? What are you doing standing there?” I got startled by Emma who started to laugh after I jumped.
“I-I actually wanted to…” I stopped myself mid-sentence and remember that I can’t tell anyone about today, not even Emma.
“You wanted what?” She looked at me expectantly.
“I wanted to make sure that tonight you are coming to my room for movie night.”
“You know I am. I have the popcorn and the chocolate. Remember it’s your turn to choose the movie tonight. I’ll see you in your room.” she walked away and I started to walk to my room. Tonight I just wanted to forget about the problem and watch a movie with my best friend.

“I have everything. Look, popcorn, popcorn, and drum roll please, licorice.” She handed every item.
“You can keep that.” I pointed towards the licorice that she is holding on her hand.
“Oh, come on, it’s not even that bad. But fine I will keep it all to myself, now what movie are we watching?” she got on top of the bed and got comfortable.
“Romance.” I smiled at her knowing full well that she doesn't like romance because she gets mad that the characters alway leave before listening to the whole conversation.
“Nooo, come on. Choose something else.” she whined and tried to take the control out of my hands.
“Come on, I want to see romance, tomorrow I have to announce the marriage too.” A marriage that I didn’t want but I couldn’t tell her, not yet. I look at her and there it is again, the pained expression that I have been seeing lately.
“Fine, but if I fall asleep don’t blame me.” she got back into her position and we started to watch the movie.
