The fresh spring breeze was messing up the man's straight, long brown hair. His fast walk was indicating that he was clearly annoyed. He walked down the paved sidewalk next to the busy streets of Toronto.
Many people that passed Axel looked at him with a confused look, most likely because of the way he was walking.
"I hate him so much...", he whispered to himself as his destination came into his view. What was his destination? A flower shop.
For most people a flower shop was something relaxing, where only peace and quietness was present, but to him it was a nightmare. The penetrating smell of flowers and the overly nice employees, that he always encountered, made him hate that place.
As Axel got closer and closer to said place he wanted to just turn around and go into the opposite direction.
Why was he going there in the first place? Easy question, he lost a bet. A bet with his best friend James, where they bet that James wouldn't have the courage to propose to his girlfriend, but he did so now Axel has to buy the flowers for their upcoming date.
And of course, as the best friend that he is, he keeps his word and does his part of the bet.
Axel finally stood in front of the flower shop. James specifically told him to come to this place, because they already knew him and knew what he would like. And he didn't trust his friend to pick the right flowers.
He pushed the small, glass door open and entered the delicate shop. In an instant the smell of the many different flowers entered his nose, which made him have an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach.
Axel looked around and tried to find any employee in the store, that could possibly help him. At first he didn't see anyone and was temped to just leave again and tell James that it was closed, but right then someone entered from a small wooden door at the back of the shop.
As soon as the person looked a Axel he swore his breath hitched. He had to admit that he had never seen such a beautiful person in his entire life.
"How can I help you?"
And with that first sentence a beautiful relationship was bound to start
