I stare at the slightly open door before at the number plate, 1334. I nod slowly before I put my hand on the handle, knocking with the other, “Lupus?” I question before I slip in. The lights dim the room as I look around, seeing him standing in front of the window; his back bare with scars across his back.
“Lupus? The HeadMaster told you to come to his office,” I say slowly. Lupus turns and looks at me, “Why? So he can question me on what I saw?” he says and tilts his head.
“We just want to know who the person is,” I say as he grunts, turning to his side of the room as I see a bag sitting on the bed. He grabs it as I watch him, “What are you..”
“There is a way out of here. We don’t have to be his puppets anymore. Have you seen what people do to us?” he says and looks at me before heading to the window.
“Yes but-”
“You can stay or come with me, Kyma,” he states, looking over his shoulder at me. I study him before I look at the door, Leave here? I’ve been here since I was fourteen. What’s out there? I think and chew my lip.
“We don’t have a lot of time, Love,” he says, making me look up at him, “I don’t have my things,”
“Leave ‘em,” he says, opening the window before taking out a thing of rope from the bag. He ties it before he looks at me, “You comin’?”
I chew my lip before nodding, stepping closer, “Yeah, yeah I’m comin’,” I say as he gives a lopsided smile. I move closer as he climbs out the window before he jumps down. I blink before snorting, show off. I think and look down, seeing him cracking his fingers as he’s on his feet.
I grab the rope and climb out the window, slowly sliding down the rope. My feet touch the ground as I hum softly, feeling hands on my hips. I tense, looking back to see Lupus as he gives a lopsided grin.
I roll my eyes and move away, looking around slowly as the shadows seem to dance on their own along with the spotlights by the gates scanning the gate area.
“Where are we goin’?” I ask as he starts walking, “The arena from earlier,” he states.
I stare at him before following him, “But that’s across the campus,”
“I’m aware,” he grunts.
“This is suicide,” I hiss as he stops, looking at me, “then go back, Kyma,”
“Lupus, we will get caught,”
“Yes, standin’ here arguin’ yes we will,” he states, turning as he starts walking away from me. I stare at him before looking behind me, I can’t turn back now.
I turn back, seeing him a bit away from me. I jog over to him as he grunts, “Stayin’ then?”
“Yeah,” I say, nodding before looking at him.
“Then make sure to keep up,” he says as he starts to move towards the shadows, his footsteps getting quieter. I stare at where he would before I continue to follow, not fair. They get years of training. I mean we get the same training but only for two years. I think before I see him stop by a corner, looking at me as he puts his finger to his lips.
I go over and lean against the wall, hearing a males and females voice before giggling. I look at him as he looks over the edge before rolling his eyes, looking at me as he tilts his head, “we have to go another way, I think they’ll be busy for a while,” he says and snickers.
I blink before I cringe before he heads across the street quickly, gross.
