You Stole My Breath

Nevermind, I Hate You

Nevermind, I Hate You

Jul 01, 2020

Rachael Point of View:

"Sup, Rachael," Austin says. "And sup, Hannah, you still showing this girl around?"

"Yeah, for this week," Hannah says. "But I wouldn't mind keeping her, she got a good company."

"Hella, she is," Austin says. "Yo, when are nerds coming back."

"Nerds?" I ask.

"He's talking about Sophie and Mason," Hannah clarifies. "Sophie is all about technologies and Mason is all about books."

"Aw, they would make such a good couple," I joke.

"Err," Austin says. "Not really."

"Cause they are nerds?" I ask.

"Nope, it's because..." Hannah says. "Um...one of them is gay."

"Really?!" I ask. "Sophie or Mason?"

"Mason," Austin answered. "He's still not out yet, but he does have a pretty boyfriend."

I laughed, "Pretty boyfriend."

"It's true, he plays basketball and it's like he got a perfect 10 face," Austin says argued. "He's well-built, he's handsome, he's like an Angel sent from heaven and he's intelligent."

"Your gayness is showing Austin," I joked.

"I'm heterosexual, I don't want my ass to be stretched," Austin says. "I've got a girlfriend, too."

"Ew, heterosexual," I say faking to puke. I'm not against heterosexual couples, but I wish they could leave some girls to us. Especially straight girls, don't ever fall for a straight one cause they are confusing as fuck.

"What's wrong with heterosexual?" Austin asks looking offended.

"Oh please, don't be offended," I told him. "There is nothing wrong, it's just straight girls are confusing is hell."

"I guess," Austin shrugs. "I don't do serious relationships."

"That's because you're a player," Hannah says angrily making Austin flinch.

"Austin, you play sports?" I ask.

"I play football, I'm the quarterback," Austin says.

"That's not what I meant Rachael," Hannah sighs in frustration. "He plays with girls heart, he would fuck them up and then get another bitch!"

"Well, I'm not a cheater like you!" Austin retorts in anger. "You fucking change an entire person into someone we don't know anymore!"

"You - you," Hannah starts to panic.

"What about me?" Austin shouts. "I'm a player I get it, but cheating is crossing the line! Hurting someone's feelings when they give you all they have and you take it for granted?! Why? You -"

A slap went across Austin's face, and Hannah looks at Austin with mixed emotions on her face. She stares at Austin with anger, but her face is filled with regret either from what Austin has said or from her slapping Austin.

And me?

I'm just standing there and enjoying the show.

...

...

...

Okay, not like that, I just don't know what to do. Austin just claimed Hannah as a cheater. Hannah claimed Austin as a player. I shall claim myself as the bystander, dear lord, I'm sorry for not doing anything.

I sigh, "Bad blood?"

Hannah has walked off with anger on her face leaving me behind, my guide left me behind. How am I gonna know my way around the school now?

Austin shook his head as he let out a deep breath, "Just forget it, Rachael. It's not worth it, it's not worth to talk about it."

"About what?" I ask.

"About Hannah and me," Austin says, his eyes darken when he mentions Hannah.

"You don't have to talk about it now," I say scratching my neck. "However, who did Hannah cheated on?"

"I don't want to talk about Hannah, right now," Austin sighs. "Let's get you to class."

"I've got Government and Politics," I say holding up my schedule. "Please take me there, Mr. Replacer."

"Mr. Replacer?" Austin asks in confusion.

I shrug, "Hannah was supposed to my guide for this week, but she ditched me. Now you're going to help me out."

"Oh geez," Austin let out a soft laugh. "Alright, Rachael."

"Thank you," I smile.

                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wait, she's in my class? Since when? Did I miss her yesterday?
"Good Morning, Samantha," I whisper, taking the seat next to her.
She looks at me before looking back at the front.
"Good Morning, Samantha," I say a bit louder.
She looks back at me again, before facing the front again.
"Goooooood Mor-ning, SaMANtha," I groan.
I'm not trying to be rude, I just want to start a conversation with her because I didn't get the chance to talk to her yesterday. She was a bitch yesterday, but she can't be one today.
She moves her chair a bit away from me, I look at her shock. What?!
"Samantha~," I say sweetly. "Good morning~."
She didn't turn my way this time, her eyes remain on the Smart Board and ignoring me like I don't exist.
"Sam-"
"What do you want?" Samantha says sternly.
"You finally replied!" I say happily pumping my fist in the air.
She rolls her eyes, but I swear I saw a small smile on her lip. I swear I saw her smile, if not, then yeah, I'm tripping.
"I wanna have a conversation with you," I say. "Talk to me."
"We are having a conversation," She says coldly.
"We are?" I ask. "But you only respond to time when I said...uh how many sentences?"
"Almost 8 sentences," Samantha says.
"Yeah! That many, how is it a conversation when you only replied...3 times counting now?" I ask, tapping my fingers on the table.
"You just talk too much," Samantha says.
I look at her shock and hurt, "I talk too much?"
"Yes," Samantha says, her eyes soften a bit, but still remains emotionless.
"Never mind, I hate you," I groan, looking at the Smart Board like her.
With my peripheral vision, I saw Samantha opens her mouth to say something but closes her mouth before a word came out.
She's such a bitch.
Bitch!
B-i-t-c-h.
I talk too much???
How?
I just want a conversation, but no, I talk too much.
For the rest of the class, I avoid Samantha's looks, or glares, or whatever she's doing with her eyes. I could feel her eyes are on me though, but it's not like, she wanna have a chat with me.
I just want to be friendly... She got a nice ass though.
I peak at Samantha when the teacher called her to read a paragraph on the textbook. Her pink lips look soft, her long eyelashes flatters as she blinks, and her long blonde sparkles when the sunlight hits it. She's a beauty, like someone who came out of the fairy tale.
However, she's a bitch.
