"I can't really give details, that's for Yuu to choose, but since you seemed to make him feel better it's probably important for you to at least know the important parts," Cunemi continued.

"Yuu's parents were killed when he was five. He was there, he saw the whole thing. Ever since then apparently he's had nightmares and couldn't stand the sight of blood," Cunemi decided that that was all she could say without saying too much. Kanemi was shocked he'd known something bad had to have happened but he'd never expected that.

Kanemi stared at the table in front of him until Comewa spoke up, "Kanemi?"

"Hmm?" Kanemi turned to face the boy, who'd been silent up till now.

"Give me your phone," Kanemi was confused but handed his phone to Comewa. He was silent as Comewa pressed some buttons on both their phones. Kanemi's phone buzzed a bit before it was passed back to him. "I sent you the links for the articles about the... event. I also put Yuu's number in your phone if you want to call him," Comewa said.

After that the twins went home. Kanemi took a while to completely collect his thoughts before heading home too. It took a while for Kanemi to gather the courage to open the link on his computer. Then he stared at a picture of burnt wood and debris from a burnt down house for a while before he read the article.

On June 23 20XX Rila and Terris Young were both killed in their home late at night. The culprit burnt the house down around the bodies, making it difficult for police to gather solid evidence, although it was presumed that the killer was a well known serial killer with a kill count of 17, all his kills followed the same rules: A family of three with a young son every three months, the parents showed signs of struggle and torture and the son would be stabbed through the heart, all the children have a lotus flower tattoo on their back, this being the killer's mark and how he received his name "lotus killer." This time was different though the son had woken up and was able to escape the house before he was caught, making him the sole survivor.

When Kanemi finished reading he took a while to sit and stare at the screen in front of him. Kanemi took a deep breath before opening the second link.

The lotus killer seems to have disappeared, the survivor of his last kill has told us that he was very young, still in school even, all though people aren't sure if that's just the talking of a young child. He was taken in by a couple recently and is now living happily with his new family. But people still wonder if the lotus killer will come back to finish the job one day.

At this point Kanemi couldn't comprehend what he was reading any more. He closed the computer and lay down on his bed to think. He stared at his phone sitting on his desk thinking about whether or not to call Yuu. He eventually decided against it, What would he even say? Hi I read about everything that happened to you let's continue being friends? Yuu wasn't even talking to him any more so he probably wouldn't appreciate Kanemi looking things up about him, plus he probably got enough people bothering him about his past already.

Suddenly he sprung to his feet. June 23? That was last week, Kanemi remembered that Yuu didn't come to school that day. Kanemi sat back on the bed heavily as he groaned into his hands. He wanted to help Yuu but if he couldn't even talk to him that would be impossible. Kanemi took a deep breath and let it out as slowly as possible. When school started again Kanemi would force him to hang out with him as much as possible, even if Yuu didn't like Kanemi anymore.
