"I can set you two up for a date."
Right after James suggested this idea to Axel, the younger's face burnt up in a bright red and he picked up a random mug from the kitchen counter, ready to throw.
"Chill I'm joking, or am I?", said James, while he was having the time of his life with teasing his best friend.
Axel on the other hand wanted to just disappear and vanish right then and there. He felt really embarrassed, because he never talked about topics like that with his best friend.
"Can you please stop?"
"Of course, but that wasn't a joke I can introduce you to him.", inquired James, giving his friend now a serious look.
The other's idea made Axel come to think. He never felt any attraction to anyone, so was that really what he wanted? Axel thought that trying wouldn't hurt anyone. Or maybe he was just lonely and wanted a partner.
"I don't know, maybe...", murmured Axel rather to himself than James. He was confused with his own feelings and thoughts.
The older let out at sigh and went up next to his best friend, putting a hand onto his shoulder.
"Look, think about it and tell me tomorrow, cause you know I have to start get ready for a date."
And with that sentence Axel was basically kicked out of the other's apartment. He was honestly not that surprised. James had been planning this date for weeks now, as it was his and Kathrin's first date with the engagement ring on their fingers.
He had to admit that he was envying his best friend. He had a stable job as an accountant, a fiancé and a beautiful apartment complex. He was like that one cousin your parents always compared you to.
In comparison Axel was nothing. He had a simple job as a photographer, because it had always been one of his passions, and lived in a relatively small and crammed home.
Axel soon left the apartment building and started to finally head home. For him the day passed by really fast, as it was already evening and he felt like he did nothing.
The air felt way colder than in the afternoon and a sudden breeze send a shiver down his spine.
While he was following his usual route to his apartment, he notice something out of the corner of his eyes.
The flower shop. Why has he never noticed it being there?
What confused him was that even though it was so late, the shop was still shining brightly inside. Someone still has to be working inside.
What startled him more was that right then a small male stepped outside. Even though it was dark he was still able to see that it was the boy that he had a slight crush on. Yes crush, he knew that it was dumb to lie to himself.
But it made no sense to him. How can you have a crush on someone you only saw once?
While he was trapped in his own thoughts he didn't notice someone approaching him.
Once he noticed Axel almost had a heart attack. The beautiful male was standing in front of him, looking him directly into the eyes.
"Can I ask you something?"
