“M…magic” one said, I took another step forward as they stumbled back,
“I’ll say this once, so please get it through those thick skulls of yours into whatever mush of waste you three all your brains and…do as I say; leave here, never speak of word of this, if this boy gave you any coin or items, please return them and go about your day before kindly, fucking off.” I said, “If not, well…you will be returning to whatever shit-hole you call home…in urns and caskets.”
“I bet we could sell that sword for a fortune, we could retire as kings!” one whisper/shouted to the main guy, the one with the sword, I simply drew God Reaper and rested it beside Aegis,
“Do you all know…how quickly it takes for a human to be dismembered?” I asked with a brow raised, “depending on the person doing it, it can take hours…or for me, a few seconds, these are spellplague blades, enchanted blades to the user, if anyone else tries to use them, they greatly injure them, plus with the levels of necromancy enchanting these blades, if any of you touched these, you’d be rendered instantly paralyzed, dead or your soul would be absorbed by God Reaper for me to use as a spectral shield for myself the next time I’m handling the removal of a piece of shit like you three.”
“Necromancy?!” one of them shouted,
“My specialty” I said smiling softly showing my sharp teeth, “And I’ll have you all know, I am…way more powerful than any of you could fathom, there are spells I have where I can kill you, bring you back only to kill you again as I please and wish for fun.” I said as I softly ran my fingers along the bevel of God Reaper, pinching the blade, as I did so, smoke and shadows licked off the sides and wrapped around me like smoke in a tornado, shapes of vaguely people like make would randomly fade in an out of the shadows before turning to near liquid as the darkness dripped off the point.
One of them, the one with the mace charged me, screaming about how I’m a monster for being Sigian, a monster for knowing necromancy amongst things of that sort, the usual things I hear, I just turned and smacked him with the flat side of Aegis knocking him to the side before I swept his legs out from under him and sank God Reaper into his back, smoke seemed to be pulled from his body that wrapped and twisted up the blade before sinking in as his entire form went gray and turned into a pile of ashes as he screamed in agony, right behind him was the one with the club, I let it hit me across the face, but I barely even felt it, it did nothing to me, but the wood of the club shattered and splintered past me, he gasped as he looked down, Aegis sank into his chest and out his back, I pulled Aegis pulling him to me as I leaned over,
“You should have just done what I said.” I whispered before twisting the blade, he gasped loudly as white-silvery light escaped his eyes, nose and mouth as his body collapsed into dust as well, looking like in moments went through the entire process of decaying, I looked towards the last, “I suggest you…run.” I said, he dropped the sword before going to run, I simply took my dagger out of the sheath and threw it, the moment it left my hand it streaked forward and sank into the back of the man’s neck with a pulse of darkness and he fell, his skin greened around the edges before blackening and turning to ashes around the blade, I snapped my fingers summoning it back to me and put it back as the three piles of ashes were carried off in the sea breeze.
“Th-th-thank you” the boy said, sputtering, stuttering and still shaking extremely,
“Are you alright?” I asked, he nodded frantically making a few more tendrils of icy white blond hair fall over his face a little as he rapidly went to tuck it behind his pointed ear. Pointed ears? I see, usually people with magics are born with pointed ears, I have extremely pointed ears.
“Are you? You got hit across the face with that club hard enough for it to splinter against you.” He said before reached up and his hand rested against my face and neck, white light covered his hand and I felt…radiant sourced healing magic ebb into my skin, but I rose reached up and pushed his hand and wrist away,
“I…appreciate the thought, but…with my magics, divine sourced magic…doesn’t really care for my person.”
“I’m…I’m so sorry” he said thinking he hurt me as he lowered his hand from my face,
“Its fine, people don’t realize that I heal with necrotic magic rather than radiant.”
“Please, at least…let me have some way of repaying you. I’m not sure what would have happened if you hadn’t been here or heard them.”
“Its fine, I was just in the area and have very sensitive hearing.” I said, “You were in the wrong place at the wrong time because of them, but the right place and time for me being here to get rid of them.”
“If not money, then at least…let me get you something to drink or if you’ve not had lunch or anything.”
“…Now, that I will take you up on.” I said,
“Aldoric” he said holding his hand out for me to shake, but instead I softly took his wrist and rose it as I kissed the back,
“Aram”
“Are…are you a sell-sword or something?” he asked, softly folding his hands in front of him, his hands were like half the size of mine, held in snow white lace gloves with tulle ruffs around his wrists, the jade beaded bracelets in front of the ruffs and the rings on his fingers, his lips were narrow width wide, but very full and the bottom was a bit fuller making him look like he was pouting softly, he had to nearly lean his head fully back to meet my eyes, the robes he had were slinky and clung to his frame that without all the layers would be extremely seductive and leave barely anything to the imagination, they were velvet, brocade and woolen, so proper for the weather of Raviel which is far colder, more windy and less tropical than Zeba, they barely clung onto his tiny shoulders, the inner most robe was the same floral print as the slip I saw around his feet was a low square neckline past his collar, but the top robe was a dark brown and bronze brocade material edged in embroidery of vines and flowers, a long belled sleeved dark green robe over it with ivory embroidery over the edges with a deep low V-neckline to mid-sternum, there were a few other layers about the robes, he had a woolen shawl of dark cream around his shoulders fastened with a wooden charm over the center of his chest with the purple cloak resting on his shoulders fastened with a thick cord around his collar.
“In a sense, but…not really, I handle…less than proper things for me to tell something like yourself.” I said, he flushed intensely at what I said,
“Oh, I see…I…I’ve never met a sell-sword before.”
“Well, I’m definitely a unique one to meet first. Where do you live that you’ve never met a sell-sword before, all kinds of us are about here selling of our trinkets and plunders from our jobs.”
“Oh, I live here in…this ring, but my family doesn’t let me out of the house often.”
“Why?” I asked, he nodded towards where the three guys were,
“My parents, my two older brothers and my older sister, believe I’m too delicate and meek to be out here or out on my own.”
“I…see” I said, softly resting my hands in front of me, the motion was added by a jangle of my chainmail and my swords against my back.
“So…lunch?” he asked, softly moving on his feet as he seemed to be…flirting a touch with me.
