The male turned around and he spotted his dear friend, James. His friend was running down the busy sidewalk in a desperate attempt to catch up to Axel.
"Oh hi James, why are you running like that?", asked Axel while he was rubbing his nape with one of his hands.
"I'm sorry man, but what the hell did you say to that boy?", said James while he was wearing a really confused expression on his face. At first the younger had no idea what the other was talking about, until it him like a train.
James was most likely talking about his encounter with Carsen.
"Better question, how did you find out?", asked Axel, because it was true. There wasn't a single person that could know about the incident the night before, of course except Axel and Carsen themselves.
"Oh come on, you know that from them I always get my flowers and because you were a small little chicken I had to go there today to finally get those damn flowers!", said James in a hurry, sounding like he was also trying to catch his breath in the mean time. He still wore that confused look while he was looking at Axel, who now returned the same expression.
"I didn't even say anything stupid! If anything he was probably exaggerating it..."
"I don't care. You sound like a child and you're going to apologize to him. Even if you didn't say anything dumb, he still feels hurt and thinks that you don't like him. You better fix this or else...", threatened James Axel.
His best friend sighed and the expression on his face softened, finally showing his usual smile. A short pat on his right shoulder was all he received, before James casually walked by him.
"Oh and don't think I came all the way here just for you."
Even though the latter said it with that bright smile on his face, Axel could feel that it was meant in a cold manner rather than in a friendly one.
So as quickly as James arrived he also vanished in the distance once again. It sometimes scared Axel how fast his friend was able to disappear.
Getting back his composure his legs started to move once again and he continued on with what he intended to do.
It didn't take him long to reach his destination. The local park.
The moment he stepped a foot inside the large park area he was able to see kids running around, parents watching them while they having conversations between themselves and of course the occasional couple that probably was on a date.
Normally a lot more people were present, but on that day the park was unusually quiet, but Axel didn't complain.
He took a deep breath before starting to walk around the many areas of the park, looking for a good motive or some kind of inspiration. Axel didn't come with any sort of plan of what he actually wanted to take pictures of, which was very unusual for him.
As he was slowing down his walk and came to a halt his eyesight came in contact with a the scene of a kid playing on the grass alone.
Axel's first instinct was to wonder where the girl's parents were, but on the second thought an idea came into his head.
He slowly approached the little girl and sat down next to her without her noticing. For outsiders it most likely looked really creepy, but right then Axel wasn't aware of that.
"Hey where are your parents?"
The girl immediately turned her head and looked at the male beside her.
"I'm here with my uncle...", she answered while turning her attention back to the toys in front of her.
"Uhm...and where's your uncle?"
Axel really didn't know why, but he really wanted to find the one responsible for watching over the child, because he really didn't want to have her play alone and risk it that something could possibly happen to her.
"He had to take a call.", she simply answered, still being completely focused on her toys.
After that an awkward silence between them filled the air, with the only noise being other people that were also enjoying the day.
But before Axel could say anything further a voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Mia there you are! I've been....Mia who's that?"
Axel quickly turned around, ready to apologize, but as soon as he didhis breathing hitched and his stomach twisted.
"Oh it's you again..."
