Hello!
I'm sorry, but there is no update this week.
If you read my note in the last chapter, you might know that I've considered putting this on a break.

Which I'm going to do.

There is a few reasons for this:

This is a LGBT/Mystery/Drama.

I want to keep the mystery, as it makes up most of this story, but I've been terrible at planning ahead, which leads to me being scared of writing myself into a corner, with no time to do some actual planning, or go back and edit if I decide to make some other choices that better suit the story, later.

Mystery is a fine art in writing, and though I love to write it, I really shouldn't have just jumped right out into it. It requires proper preparation (At least for me)

Also, the LGBT aspect. I think it's super important to have a proper transgender MC. This part plays a big role in the mystery as well, but Winter is still not ONLY his gender, nor ONLY his secrets. I really want to portray this properly, trying not to step too much on anyone's toes (For this I have already made a few interviews with transgender people), but I feel like I'm still lacking a bit in this area.
Winter isn't the only LGBT representative in this story, but he is without a doubt the face of it. So it's important to me to do him justice.

Then there is the PACING!
I don't know if it's just me as the writer, but I feel like it has been all over the place. Too slow. Too fast. Stuff like that.

I don't think I'm writing a bad story, but I do feel like I could write it even better. Without me having to stress-write every week.

So, I'm sorry for starting this story prematurely.
I'm sorry for making you invested only to just put it on a break.
And I'm sorry to leave you all hanging before knowing exactly what happened to Max (Though he is found)

So what now?

The plan now is that I'm going to put this on a pause.
I have some other writing projects I'm working on (Like "I'm the Prince's Beard")
As well as a novel called "The Cursed One is Blessed" That suddenly had to get a lot of chapters instead of being a short story (It's on webnovel)

There is also another project I have been fighting for, for a while, which I'm hoping will be made into an actual project.

But about this story, I'm not giving it up. I'm not ending it. I'm going to write on it when I'm inspired and when I feel for it, on my own time.

I'm going to come back with a more researched and well-thought out storyline (But please don't have too many great expectations, it's mostly the behind-the-scenes where it's most obvious, I think. So it's still going to be kinda like it has been until now)

And when I feel like I have enough buffer - Maybe the entire thing done, I'll come back.

So for the people who want to leave, I don't blame you. Thank you for reading this far!

And for the people who are staying. Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support!

And this got kinda long... Welp. Thank you for reading this far! See you (hopefully)! And sorry for making such a big deal out of it, I just didn't want to leave any of you hanging around, without knowing properly why I'm doing this.

Winter doesn't really get life, just as life doesn't seem to get Winter. What he does know for sure is, that even though his body, his parents and everyone around him says he is female, he knows at his heart he is male.
Cutting himself off from his overly-religious parents, he decides to enroll in an all-boys school.

Here he has to hide who he really is, while having never felt so much like himself.

But can Winter really run from his past? Can he hide from his classmates? And what's with that ridiculously sweet guy he has to share rooms with?

Follow Winter as he navigates through life, identity, sexuality and a past that keeps breathing down his neck.
