A/N: I know, I know. I really suck at titles.
It was exactly five o'clock when Nexus arrived at Michael's club.
"How are you, Nexus? Looks like you had so much fun last night that you even forgot to call Michael. "Roniel, one of his club colleagues, said.
Just like him, Roniel is also an omega and a prostitute. Roniel is just a few years younger than him. And out of all his club colleagues, Roniel is the closest one to him.
He sat on a couch that was there. Roniel sat down next to him, obviously waiting for his answer.
"That kid was a virgin." He answered.
"I told you so!" Roniel exclaimed. "Have you not lost patience in teaching?" Roniel's question made him grin.
"He's quick to learn. At first, he was a little nervous but after a while, he became like a mad dog that I was not able to stop him anymore." He said while shaking his head.
Roniel's grin widened. "It's good that you can still walk." Roniel said in a malicious tone.
He laughed at what he said. "Almost never." He said that made the both of them laugh.
"What about the payment? That kid looks rich."
He shrugged. "It's okay. The payment is enough for my week's expenses." He replied then smiled at the kid.
Roniel pouted. "Good for you. As for me, it seems like I am really out of luck. Aside from he's already old and that he's not even good in bed, he even pays very little! It's a pity that I even grind on top of that old man!"
Roniel's complaint made him laugh out loud. He only stopped laughing when he noticed Michael standing in front of them and looking at them with a small smile on his lips. "Looks like you, guys are having fun." Michael said.
"Michael!" Roniel happily exclaimed. And Nexus saw how Roniel's eyes lit up as he stared at Michael.
And Roniel may not say it but he knew that he is in love with Michael. There's just something with the way Roniel look at Michael.
"How long have you been there?" Nexus asked Michael.
Michael sat on the other side of the couch, right next to him, ignoring Roniel who has a dissapointed look on his face.
He can't help but pity the guy. Roniel should know that an omega and a beta will never work.
"I just arrived." Michael replied as he leaned his head on his shoulder and it's hands were wrapped around his arm.
He looked at Roniel and he caught him staring at Michael's hands on his arm.
Roniel seemed to notice that he was looking at him, for him to take his eyes off of Michael's hands
Suddenly, Roniel stood up that surprised him and Michael. A fake smile was posted on Roniel's lips. "I'll just go to Cyrus." He said then hurried away.
He's still staring at Roniel, who is now talking to Cyrus when Michael removed his hands from his arm, moved a few inches away from him then sat up straight.
He raised his brow. "You are fully aware of his feelings yet you're not saying nor doing anything." He said while looking at Michael.
Michael sighed. "Do you think he would listen if I tell him to forget whatever his feelings for me? No, Nexus. He'll just keep on doing whatever he wants and he'll just keep on insisting that whatever his feeling for me is right." Michael answered seriously.
"So making him jealous is your way of telling him to get over you? Do you really think that will work? And morever, why are you using me in this nonsense plan of yours?" He asked then shook his head. "This won't solve anything, Michael. Why don't you try to talk to him and put some sense into his head."
"I am telling you, that won't work." Michael said then sighed. "I don't even know why he likes me! I did nothing good to him, except to let him in, here in the club which is not really a big deal. Also, I am not an alpha. An omega is only for an alpha. And a beta is just for a beta. That's how our society works and he knew that. " He can feel the frustration in Michael's voice.
"But how about you? How do you feel with all of this? What are your true feelings for Roniel?" He suddenly asked.
Michael looked at him. Its forehead furrowed. "My true feelings?" Michael sounded so surprised with his sudden question.
He nodded then met Michael's gaze. "You love him, don't you?" He asked directly that struck Michael. "No matter how much you try to deny it, I know and I can see it, Michael. You love him." He said as he snatched a cigarette case from his pants pocket. He opened the box and grabbed a piece of a cigarette and lit it. "I know you better than anybody else, Michael. The way you look at Roniel, the way you care for him, I know you don't consider him as just a simple worker or a friend."
"W-what are you saying?" Michael stammered as he avoided looking at him.
"Do you really think I wouldn't know how you tried to keep Roniel away from the customers that might hurt him or push him to his limit? If he was just a mere employee to you, you wouldn't bother that much about him."
"Isn't that what I do to you as well? I just wanted to take care of you and Roniel."
Nexus let out a cigarette smoke and then smiled and spoke. "Come on, Michael. We've known each other for a long time. You can no longer use that reason on me. Yes, you take care of me but you don't look at me, the way you look at Roniel." Michael goes silent. "If I were you, you'd better talk to him and make it clear to him. You already said it. An omega is for an alpha and a beta is for a beta. That is, if you really want him to get over you." That was all he said before he left Michael who was stunned by what he said.
Nexus was fixing himself when Michael entered the room that is exclusive to him. It has a large bed, two sofas and a small table. Every prostitute who works in the club has an exclusive room where they can entertain their customers. But the customers are also given a chance to take them outside, with their consent, of course, just like what happened to him and that kid last night.
"You already have a customer." Michael informs.
"That fast? We just opened." He said, his forehead furrowed.
"Looks like an acquaintance of him recommended you." Michael said then shrugged.
"What does he look like?" He asked again while fixing his clothes.
"Well, he's good-looking. He could even pass as a model or an actor. He is about your age and lastly, he's loaded." Michael grinned at the last sentence that made him do the same thing as he shook his head.
"Alpha or Beta?" He asked again.
"Alpha."
Nexus sat down on the sofa. "Alpha again." He complained.
Michael laughed at what he said. "Come on! Stop complaining. He looked like a decent person. And as what I've said, he's loaded. Just satisfy him and I am pretty sure you will be able to pay your rent for atleast, two months." Michael said while still grinning.
He grinned back at his friend. "You know me. I haven't had a customer who came home with a dissatisfied look on their faces."
Michael laughed and tapped him on the shoulder. "Gotta go. Be prepared. The moment I went out of this room, then your customer will come in."
He just nodded in response.
When Michael finally went out of the room, he stared at himself again in the mirror, making sure that he looked good enough. Then he sat on the far side of the bed while holding a cigarette stick that he had lit. He was patiently sitting on the edge of the bed when the door of the room suddenly opened. He was ready to give his customer a seductive smile when he saw who would be his customer.
He gasped and his cigarette fell. He felt like his breathing stopped for a moment as he stare at the face of his new customer.
He's still holding his breath when their eyes met. The man grinned, "Long time no see, Nexus."
Sensous, slightly hoarse. That vaguely-familiar voice sent shivers down his spine.
He can't believe it. He never thought their paths would cross again.
"Maximino ..." He whispered without taking his eyes off of the man whom he never thought he would see again.
Maximino Salvador. The Alpha he hates the most, the man he loathe is now right in front of him.
