Ellie’s POV

I am kind of enjoying this whole pampering thing to be honest. In the beginning I did feel horrible, and I was a little upset that C.J was completely ignoring what I had to say, but as time went by I decided to be grateful rather than upset. He bought me so much stuff, and when I found out that he was the son of Augustine Delaney I was very embarrassed that I had tried to pass as a fashion expert. Well not so much a fashion expert, but I was practically giving the guy a private fashion show, he must have been laughing so hard at me on the inside. There were certain items of clothing that I thought were super cute, but I wasn’t able to try them on due to my cast. It is really clunky and annoying, but it is a nice color. I wasn’t or rather I wasn’t going to let C.J buy something so expensive without trying it on first.

I let C.J pick where we are going to eat because I’m not feeling picky right now. My only clause was that it couldn’t be a seafood restaurant considering that I’m very allergic to it. I was worried that he would pick out an expensive restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised to see us pull up to a quaint little bistro.

Right now, I’m trying to decide whether I want to go with my usual order of chicken tenders and fries, or if I want to appear more mature. I decide to go with a mixture of the two, and order a cobb salad that comes with chicken tenders rather than grilled chicken. I think I’m getting the hang of this adult thing. I do order a side of fries though as I love anything that is made from a potato. C.J proves to be much better at adulting and chooses steak and grilled asparagus which also came with mashed potatoes. Maybe he would let me have a bite if I asked nicely. Time to up my cute game. I would do anything for food, especially potatoes.

We were having a nice conversation about how I just found out that my sister Lucy and her mate were expecting their first child while we waited for our food to be brought out. It was really surprising because she didn’t want children for the longest time and neither did her mate. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t have any more kids after this one. Which is completely fine for them, but I love kids and I want a lot of babies. I’m sure that I must’ve looked strange when my face burst into flames after imagining what they would look like if me and C.J had kids. He didn’t question me though which I was thankful for. I was surprised to find out that C.J also loved kids and wanted to have multiple because he said that being an only child is lonely. I couldn’t imagine that, as much as I love having a big family it can be very overwhelming with all the people that are constantly in your business.

The food came out and it smelled absolutely delicious. It looked just as good as it smelled, especially C.J’s mashed potatoes. I waited til we settled into our meals a little before looking up at him with wide eyes and a little smile, “ Um C.J, can I try some of your mashed potatoes?”

He smiled back before narrowing his eyes and asking, “ What’s in it for me?”

“Uh, I’ll trade you 4 french fries”.

“Make it 5 and you’ve got yourself a deal” I giggled at his fake seriousness

“Okay here you go Mr.Business Man.” I gave him the fries and he gave me some of his mashed potatoes. I moaned at the pure greatness that I tasted. Next time I’ll be sure to order this instead. When I looked up at C.J to tell him just how good it was he was blushing and making a weird face. I decided not to ask, maybe he farted and was worried I could smell it. I did a quick sniff, but I didn’t smell anything bad.

We finished the meal, and I tried to sneakily pay for the bill without C.J noticing but he did and scolded me before handing the waitress his card instead. I pouted up at him, and he just laughed while pinching my cheeks. What a jerk. A nice jerk, but a jerk nonetheless. I was feeling a little tired which C.J noticed after I kept yawning so he decided our fun was over and brought me home. This time he got out of the car and walked me to the door. I was feeling super nervous for some reason, and he looked a little nervous too. I was wondering why, but then I saw him lean down and my eyes went wide before closing at the feel of his lips. It was short and sweet which I was glad for considering I have no idea how to kiss. This was my first kiss and I was on cloud nine.

“I’m sorry if I read this wrong, but I would have left super upset with myself if I didn’t let you know that I like you. You are so adorable and I would be honored if you would let me court you.” My face was fire engine red and my heart was about to leap out of my chest, but I couldn’t be happier. I can’t believe that he wanted to court me. He wants to be my mate?! I did not see this coming.

“I-I like you too. I would love to be your mate” I said shyly, but my smile was huge.

He gave me the biggest grin I have ever seen and all of a sudden he picked me up and spun me around pecking my face in joy. I giggled at his antics until he finally put me down, “ You just made me the happiest Alpha in the world. I promise that you won’t regret giving me a chance”.

He went in to kiss me again but I stopped him, “Uh just so you know I have no idea how to kiss and I don’t want to embarrass myself”.

He laughed then cupped my face in his huge hands, “ You’re just too cute. Don’t worry I’ll be happy to teach you. For now I don’t mind a bad kiss as long as I get to kiss you”.

“You’re such a smooth talker C.J. You better go before my family comes out to chase you away. I can see them peeking from the window” It doesn’t surprise me that my mom would be spying on me especially if my dad told her that I was going out with an Alpha. He nodded before giving me another peck and going back to his car. I waved as I watched him drive off in his fancy car.

I knew I was going to get my ear chewed off as soon as I got into the house, but I wasn’t expecting some of my siblings to be here as well. Well I mean I wasn’t that surprised that Drew was here because he has no life, and thinks that he’s my parents favorite even though we all know that it’s me, but I was shocked that Darcy was here. She is a senior this year, and she is a nursing major so she seems like she has her life in order. She is always busy though which is why I’m surprised that she’s here.

“Elliot why am I hearing from your father that you went out with a giant Alpha and that said Alpha is the man that broke my poor baby’s arm?” My mother came at me with a stern look on her face. I scowled at my dad who at least had the grace to look guilty.

“C.J is harmless, mom. The arm thing was an accident, and I fell on top of him so technically it was my own fault. He has been nothing but kind to me. I know he might look intimidating, but he is the sweetest Alpha that I have ever met” I tried to defend C.J but then Drew just had to butt in.

“Yeah he looked real kind when he was sucking your face” Drew snickered and I wanted to beat him up so much. Lucky for me Darcy had my back and she whacked him upside the head.

“Be quiet Drew! This is not a joke”, My mom hushed Drew before turning back to me, “Can’t you see that this Alpha is trying to take advantage of you”.

“Leila calm down I’m sure th-” My dad tried to appease my mom before I cut him off in anger.

“C.J is not trying to take advantage of me. He wants to be my Alpha, and asked to start courting me. And guess what I said yes. I’m not a baby anymore mom” The four of them looked at me in shock because me and my mom almost never argue and also probably at the fact that I have a potential mate.

“B-but you’ll always be my baby” SHe just looked sad and a little ashamed of what she said earlier.

“Yes I’ll always be your baby mom, but I’m not a baby anymore. I know that you’re only worried about my safety and well-being, but it makes me feel a little upset when you insult someone who has only ever shown me kindness. You didn’t get mad at Jonathan when he started to pursue a mate and he was only seventeen” I tried to be understanding but firm with my words.

She nodded and gave me a warm hug, “ Yes I suppose that I was harsh. I was just worried. You’re so little and he is so big. As much as I might want to appear tough, I don’t even think my wrath would be enough to stop him if he hurt you and it scares me”.

“Well I don’t think you’ll need to worry about him mistreating Ellie mom judging by the amount of bags in his arms all with designer names on them” I take it back. Darcy does not have my back.

My mom’s eyes widen again and I know that she’s curious, “ Okay, so C.J may or may not be the son of famous Designer Augustine Delaney”.

I knew something stupid was going to come out of Drew’s mouth when he opened it, “Ha, I knew that guy was rich. I mean look at his car. She was stunning”.

Drool was practically running down his chin as he remembered C.J’s fancy car that was surprisingly comfortable. I rolled my eyes at him, and I glanced over at Darcy’s phone to see who she was busy texting away to. I squeaked in surprise when I saw that she was texting a group chat that was called “Elliot Protection Program” which I could only assume had all of my siblings. Before she turned her phone off I saw that she had told everyone that I now had an Alpha. If C.J wasn’t ripped I would have been concerned that Jonathan was going to kill him.

Jonathan is the oldest of all of us, and just happens to be an Alpha. So he is super protective of me, not only because I’m the youngest but also because I’m an omega. I went upstairs to put away my new clothes and get ready for bed. I don’t think that I will ever stop smiling, especially when I saw that C.J had texted me that he had a nice time.
