Ben was ready to charge in and attack, but a firm hand was placed on his shoulder stopping him and calming his anger. He looked to the side to see that the great being was the one who had stopped him and was glaring at Alpha Kenzo. Again, Ben didn't know how he knew what facial expression the masked figure was making, he just knew.

"Don't let him get to you. He wants you to fight in a blind rage. Stay sharp, stay focused. Remember who you're fighting for."

The voice in his head was clear as day and he knew just who the voice belonged to. "How is that possible?! Only pack members and mates can speak through a mind link."

He didn't dwell on it for very long. He wasn't going to question the all-powerful being. Ben closed his eyes and imagined all the people he loved and considered family. He pictured his mate and took a deep breath.

Kai stepped forward and spoke loud, "Today, we are all here to stand witness; A battle between Kenzo Martinez versus Benjamin Martinez, for the title and role of Alpha of the Northern Paw Pack. May this be a clean and just fight as we bear witness to who amidst these two possesses the Moon Goddesses favor."

With those words spoken the battle began. Both men shifted and began circling each other, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Ben had watched his father spar against the pack warriors all his life, he has even went up against him himself a few times. He knew his moves and his favorite fighting tactics. His father never fought fair and would take cheap shots if you allowed him the opportunity. He was also a sore loser. Every time someone was about to win he would use his Alpha command to have them submit or found an excuse to end the fight prematurely. "He won't be able to run away from this battle."

The two large identical brown wolves lunged at each other at the same time. The slightly smaller wolf was swinging his claws ferociously, trying to claw at anything he could get his paws into, while the larger wolf was easily able to dodge the frantic swipes of his opponent. The smaller wolf tried once again to scratch at the other wolf's face but he miscalculated how much strength he put into the swipe, making him stumble a bit and lose his footing.

The larger wolf took the opportunity to slam the wolf down and sink his teeth into a vulnerable spot and began shaking his head harshly, ripping out a large chunk of fur and flesh.

The wolf below him howled in pain but didn't miss the opportunity to sink his claws deep into Ben. Blood poured out of both wolves. A painful burning sensation rose from his abdomen through his body and he let out a gasp of shock. Kenso swiped at his face then kicked him off.

Benjamin let out a hurt and angry growl. "This fucker coated his claws in wolfsbane!?" He ignored the pain and lunged again, making sure to avoid the swipes as much as he could. The rolled around taking turns biting and pinning each other down, but neither of them was willing to give the other the upper hand.

Ben wasn't able to dodge every wipe that came his way and with every scratch, more poison was administered into his system. It was getting harder and harder for Ben to focus. Black dots swirled in his vision and his strength was slowly deteriorating.

"Who are you fighting for?" A soft voice echoed through his mind.

Ben took a moment to glance to the side where he saw his loving mate fighting both werewolves and vampires alike trying to get to him. They tried with all their might to keep her away from the battle but she was still able to take another step towards him before more supernaturals went to aid their fallen.

Love and warmth flooded his heart. He needed to win this fight for his pack. He needed to end his father's cruel reign and he needed to win for his mate. "I will not lose to you Kenzo! You do not deserve the title of Alpha! I am the true Alpha of the Northern Paw Pack!"

Kenzo was fairly surprised by Benjamin's statement. He wondered why Ben was not slowing down. The wolfsbane should have been in full effect making it an easy win. He was starting to get tired and with that sloppy with his attacks. Kenzo tried once again to slice at the other wolf's jugular, but he missed and he realized too late just how much he messed up.

He had once again left himself vulnerable and Ben didn't think twice before he had his dad's throat in his mouth and pulled. In one swift motion, he ripped out Kenzo's throat.

Kenzo fell to the ground, shifting back into his human form. Blood pooled around him as he choked on it. With one hand he tried to cover his throat to stop the bleeding, and with the other, he reached out to his son. He opened his mouth to speak but all he could do was gasp for air with no avail.

The lights dimmed from Kenzo's eyes as his arms fell limply to his sides. He was dead and the battle had come to its end.

Kai walked to Ben's side. "Shift"

Once Ben Shifted Kai grabbed his arm and raised it up in the air, yelling for all to hear, "Ladies and gentlemen, werewolves and vampires, It is my honor to present to you the new Alpha of the Northern Paw Pack, Alpha Benjamin Martinez!"

Hollers, wolf whistles, howls, and clapping rang through the crowd. When the great being let go of his hand he realized that he wasn't in any more pain and all his wounds were healed over. He turned his shocked face to the masked being and raised an eyebrow in question, but the being to his side ignored the look and snapped his fingers. A pair of sweatpants appeared in his hands and he handed them to a naked Ben.

"Huh, I have the same pair of sweats at home..."

Just as Ben pulled up the sweats above his hips, he barely had time to lift his head before Vanessa was barreling into him, knocking them both to the ground. In a short amount of time, Vanessa went through different stages of several emotions. She was crying, then laughing, then crying again, before ending in a mix of anger and joy, yelling at him to never put her through anything like this ever again with threats of ripping him a new one.

A part of him feared the wrath of his mate, quickly agreeing with her to appease her anger, but he knew she was joking, kinda. He held her tightly in his arms and pushed his nose into her neck, reveling in her scent and calming him and his wolf. He was happy that he had won the fight and determined to lead his pack into a new era. He was going to make some serious changes in his pack, all for the better and with his mate by his side.

He lifted his mate and himself off the floor and turned to speak to the vampire leader who was waiting patiently for the two to separate from each others hold. "You pack quite the punch young lady." The elder vampire said in a lighthearted tone while rubbing his cheek that was sporting a very large bruise.

Vanessa turned beet red in realization that she had injured many trying to get to her mate. She looked down in embarrassment mumbling an apology.

"Apologies are given when you regret your actions my dear and I know you do not."

Vanessa shook her head, "I am sorry for hurting you, but in a way you are right, I don't fully regret my actions. My mate was hurting, I needed to get to him, and you were in my way. If I were to do it all over again I would do the exact same thing with no hesitation."

The elder vampire smiled at his young clan member believing with all his still heart that she will be a great Luna.

"As the new Alpha of the Northern Paw Pack, I would like to propose a peace treaty, sealed by marriage, between your clan and our pack. we will be a close ally and friend, living in peace aside one another."

The vampire gave a firm nod of agreement and an approving smile towards the young Alpha. They both reached out and shook hands sealing the agreement and looked towards the masked being.

Kai raised both arms in the air silencing everyone around, "I bless and stand witness to the peace treaty between the Northern Paw Pack and the Blood Raven Clan. May the Goddess bring down wrath on those who oppose or try to break the treaty that had been bonded by marriage between Alpha Benjamin Martinez and Luna Vanessa Martinez. May the Goddess bless this treaty, and us all."

Kai moved to the side as everyone again erupted into cheers and began going around and congratulating each other and showing their respect and loyalty towards the new Alpha pair. "He did good." Cora said in an approving tone.

"That he did, Cora. They're going to make a great Alpha pair. They will raise their pack higher and lead with strong hands."

Alpha Benjamin looked up to see the great being looking at him. He bowed lowly and everyone else followed his actions, showing their respect. "Thank you, for everything you have done today. I appreciate everything you have done for my pack, the vampire coven, and my mate and I. I will be forever in your debt."

Kai walked towards the young Alpha and stood right in front of him, "Rise". Benjamin stood tall, immediately doing as he was told, as did everyone else.

"I have done nothing for you to be indebted to me, for today was all you. It took great courage to stand up and speak against the ill intentions that were to transpire today on this field. You, along with your mate and friends stopped an unnecessary war. You spoke from the heart and stood with determination and strength, all for the sake of others. And it was you on the battlefield who showed outstanding gallantry to overcome your greatest oppressor, for your people, like a true Alpha.

Even though you knew it would be hard, you believed in yourself, in your mate, and believed that everything would turn out all right in the end. You're still young and you still have lots to learn but I have faith that you can achieve anything so long as you are kind, compassionate, love with all your heart, and always remember who you're fighting for."

Kai took a few steps away and snapped his fingers. Kenzo's body began to glow as small glowing particles rose to the heavens, leaving a small flower where the body used to be.

"Look forward to the day we meet again!" he waved at all the people standing in the open field with their mouths agape as the wind picked up and a swarm of leaves circled around Kai and his familiar.

When the leaves stopped twirling there was no sign of the masked being or the owl. Everyone was still in a state of shock. Benjamin looked down and stared at the small purple flower and a small smile graced his lips. He pulled his mate into his side,

"Let's go home".
