Ch3-P1

Ch3-P1

Jul 26, 2020

I'm currently sitting in the cafeteria with an amber boy. Why do you ask? well it's a long story, let's start from the beginning shall we?

.

.

.

Earlier that day:

“Hey, do I know you?”

I blink once, then twice, still caught off guard.

“I don't think so,” I answer awkwardly.

This boy does look firmilary, maybe we went to preschool together?

“Oh, R-really?” he scratches his neck.

“Well I should probably get back with the others,” he points to a group of people far to the left of us. Grabbing his killer of a football, and practically skipped his way back to his friends. What's wrong with this guy, seriously? I’ve never seen anyone so bright and happy. It's practically blinding. Wait a minute! I do know him. He was that one kid from elementary school that I suddenly punched. He had told me i couldn't play football because i was a girl and I had been really mad about it. What was his name again? Jasper! Shit, I thought Jasper moved away in middle school. I guess he came back? Welp, time for my next class. I start to gather up my stuff, when Jasper comes prancing back to me. Just kill me now. I sigh.

“Hey! I do know you, Alexis!” I called out.

I inwardly cringe at this. I haven't heard that name in years. In case you couldn't tell, as a trans man, Alexis is way too girly of a name to pass as a man, so I merely FIXED it. My mother gave me that name because supposedly, in greek it means helper/defender. She would constantly tell me the story of how my birth kept our family together all these years. I guess that's not the case anymore. I snap out of my thoughts, when I hear him rambling about stupid nonsense.

“You were so cute in your little pink dress back then, and now you don't even touch womens clothes anymore. I wouldn't have noticed you if it wasn't for those silly guys over there,” he points to a pair of dyed haired jerks. Because of course it had to be the bullies. I sigh and continue packing up my bags.

“Hey, you're not going back to class now are you? We still have like-” he checks his watch.

“Thirty minutes before its time.”

“Indeed we still have thirty minuets, I just like to go early. I'm not getting trampled on in the halls,” I fight the urge to roll my eyes. I swear, I don't even know why they made the halls so narrow, with all the chaos going on after the bell rings. They seriously need to get some sort of order in those halls.

“Well if you're not too busy, why don't you hang out with me and my guys,”

“I don't know-” I interrupted by a slap to the back. And just so you know, it hurt, it hurt alot.

“Yeah, why not, it could be fun,” As if in a cheesy high school drama, his friends just had to show up right at that moment. Specifically the redhead, and Bob, A.K.A. the bullies.

.

.

.

Present

And that's how I got here, sitting in between red head, and bob, while Jasper talks my ear off. And just to make matters worse, he keeps talking about my past. That's right, when I was still wearing pigtails, and frilly pink dresses. I resist the urge to pull on my hair, and just cower into my baggy sweater instead. I keep my eyes casted down, too afraid to look into the eyes of the people sitting at our table. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even have to look into the eyes of the bullies to know there was a sharp toothed smile on each of their faces.

“Hey, are you even listening?” Jasper questions.

“Uh, s-sorry,” I look up anxiously, only to see that Jasper is not angry. In fact he’s calm. Really calm. To the point that it's a little disturbing. It takes me a moment to realize that I’ve been staring at him for a couple minutes since then. He hasn't said a single word since. His eyes seemed to be studying me, as if I had just ate his lunch.

I squirm a little uncomfortable, only to have my shoulder squeezed by a tight grip leading up to my redhead. I self-consily straighten my back. His eyes shine with amusement.

“OH, sorry. I don't think I’ve introduced myself: this is Tomas, and Bob.” Jasper laughs.

“Nice to meet you little bunny,” Tomas greets.

B-Bunny!? Did I hear that right?

“P-pardon?” I whisper, but it doesn't seem like anyone heard me. Either that or they chose to ignore me.

“Good to meet you,” Bob sighs leaning his head on his hand. He looks like he hasn't slept in days, and just pokes at his food.

I nod my greeting. Afraid my teeth might fall out if I open my mouth.

Jasper leans forward, staring me dead in the eyes.

“Where have you been all these years?” I hear him mutter.

“W-with my parents,” I stutter like the idiot I am.

We stare into each other for so long after that, that my eyes start to sting, and as I'm about to rub them, I could have sworn Jasper's eyes started glowing. Their amber color looked blood red as they continued to study me. Before I can stop it, a gasp leaves my mouth, snapping him out of his tranzs. He blinks a couple times, and then right when he’s about to open his mouth to say something, the bell rings. (Cliche I know)

I grab my bag and dash for the closest exit, and make my way to my next class.

.

.

When school’s finally out, I'm about to take my first step out the front doors, when someone grabs my shoulders, and spooks the living shit out of me. I'm clutching my chest, and gasping when I hear a low singular laugh coming from behind me.

“What the hell man!” I shout.

“I-Im sorry, I couldn't...help it,” The nameless boy laughs.

I sigh and roll my tired eyes. I start to walk home, when I notice him still following me.

“What do you want?” I finally stop to face him, only for him to bump heads with me.

I grew in pain, and rubbed at the forming bump on the tom of my head.

“What the hell's your problem?” I hiss.

He merely stares at me. What the hell, did he even feel the pain when he ran into me.

“Im sorry, I just thought-” He stops mid sentence only to come closer to me. I subconsciously take a step back, only to hand his big warm hand caress my cheek.

“What happened?”

Is he sersoily changing the subject. I doubt he just now realized that part of my face was swollen.

I slap his hand away, and glare at him.

“That's none of your business-”

“It is!” He schnapps. Teeth showing as he snarls.

Images of last night's dream come back in a flash, causing me to gasp and take another step back. But I lose my footing and fall down a hillside. I hear the boy call my name, then next thing I know, I'm tumbling into rocks, leaves, and sticks only to be stopped by a tree trunk. My head hits the back of the tree with a loud THUNK! and I pass out.
